The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets will try and close out the regular season on a high-note starting with a victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons this Thursday night. Game time from the Winston-Salem Sports Complex is set for 8 p.m. and it will be broadcast on ESPN3.com.<\/p>\n

This is a season that Georgia Tech fans will quickly want to forget after watching their team lose eight of its last nine games including a 79-74 loss to North Carolina State as a five-point road underdog this past Saturday. The Yellow Jackets are 11-17 straight-up overall and 8-14-1 against the spread. They are second-to-last in the ACC with a record of 3-11 SU.<\/p>\n

The one high-point for Georgia Tech this season has been the play of Iman Shumpert. The junior guard leads the team across the board with 17.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 3.5 assists a game. The Yellow Jackets are averaging 68 points and 36 rebounds a game but shooting just 40.6 percent from the field. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The only team worse in the ACC this season has been Wake Forest. The Deacons have just one win in their last 14 games and come into this one riding an eight-game losing streak. They are a dismal 8-21 SU overall and almost just as bad ATS at 9-14-2. Wake Forest has just one win in conference play against 13 losses.<\/p>\n

The Deacons have four players scoring in double-figures led by Travis McVie\u2019s 12.7 points a game. He also leads the team in rebounds with 7.7 a game. J.T. Terrell is second in scoring with 11.5 points and C.J. Harris has a team-high 3.7 assists per game. Wake Forest is averaging 68 points and just 33 rebounds a game.<\/p>\n

Pride is the only thing on the line in this game so stick with the Demon Deacons to avenge a humiliating 74-39 loss to Georgia Tech as a 14 \u00bd-point road underdog earlier this season, with a spirited effort in their final home game of the year.<\/p>\n
