The Buffaloes picked up an important road victory against Texas Tech early in the week. \u00a0I have to admit that I really want these guys to make it into the field of 68 where with the right matchups and high level of play from the dynamic duo of Alec Burks and Corey Higgins they might actually win a round or two. \u00a0<\/p>\n

They could definitely make a statement that they belong by beating Texas on Saturday. \u00a0After losing to Nebraska the Longhorns have an air of vulnerability to them right now but they are going to make the Buffs earn it. \u00a0Whenever they can get a third scorer to show up they can be awfully tough to beat. \u00a0They have only lost 2 times all season long at home (7-3 ATS) so they are not a bad bet there. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

It was a real eye opener to see the Longhorns lose to Nebraska. \u00a0They didn’t play very well and it still took a herculean effort to beat Texas who was playing better than anyone in the country over the last month up to that point. \u00a0Texas bounced back well in trouncing Iowa State covering as an 18 point favourite. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Nebraska beat Texas by applying aggressive tight defense and the Longhorns just didn’t respond. \u00a0Leading scorer Jordan Hamilton was completely off his game and if reserve guard J’Covan Brown hadn’t stepped up with 18 points the outcome would have been a lot uglier. \u00a0Colorado plays a different style than the Huskers and that will make Texas much more comfortable so another upset is unlikely.<\/p>\n
