The Illinois Fighting Illini have underachieved so far this year. This is a team that was ranked highly before the season, and they are now just 17-10. Illinois is just 7-7 in the Big Ten, and they badly need to get on the right track. Ohio State has now lost two of their last three games. The Buckeyes were beaten by both Wisconsin and Purdue on the road. Ohio State leads the Big Ten by just one game now, so they can ill-afford another misstep.<\/p>\n

Illinois has one of the best point guards in the league in Demetri McCamey. McCamey has done his job well this year, and his 47.5% shooting from beyond the arc has kept them in quite a few games. The inconsistency of youngsters like D.J. Richardson and Brandon Paul has really hurt this team. Richardson was held scoreless in Illinois\u2019 loss at Michigan State this past Saturday. Paul is shooting just 40% from the floor. Mike Tisdale and Mike Davis aren\u2019t spectacular in the post, but they do a solid job for this team. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Ohio State allowed Purdue\u2019s E\u2019Twaun Moore to put up 38 points on Sunday, and the Buckeyes have finally showed some weaknesses of late. This is a team that has several very good players, but they only go seven deep, and Purdue wore them down a bit on Sunday. Jared Sullinger continues to be a beast down low for Ohio State. Sullinger is consistently tremendous both on the offensive end and on the glass. This team is at its best when William Buford, Jon Diebler, and David Lighty are playing well. All three have the ability to take over a game, but they have been inconsistent of late.<\/p>\n
