San Diego State proved they were mortal in losing at BYU but they are still the best team in the Mountain West Conference in my opinion (BYU lost to New Mexico right after…remember). \u00a0New Mexico is also good and they seem to be playing better so hopefully the Aztecs will not be over confident on their home floor. \u00a0Last time out against the Lobos guard DJ Gay was the star hitting 7 of 11 from deep on his way to 30 points. \u00a0<\/p>\n

He plays a lot of minutes for this team so Aztec fans will hope he has enough in the tank for another superlative performance. \u00a0The great thing about SDSU is that they have great balance and can win even when he struggles…some of the time (he only scored 2 in that BYU loss).<\/p>\n

The Lobos have been streaky all season and saw a 4 game winning streak end at an underreated Colorado State over the weekend. \u00a0Transfer forward Drew Gordon has been most of what was expected offering a legit low post presence in both scoring and rebounding. \u00a0 \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

He had a great game the last time these two tangled with 23 points and 14 rebounds and has had a double-double in 6 of his last 9. \u00a0<\/p>\n

If New Mexico is going to hang with the Aztecs on the road he needs to have a another good game and negate some of their up front prowess. \u00a0NM has not been a good bet on the road just 3-6-1 ATS.<\/p>\n
