A team with a rich basketball tradition like Wake Forest is never expected to be as terrible as they are this season. They do have a lot of youngsters, but the Demon Deacons have just been horrific this year. They were beaten by 25 points at home against a very mediocre NC State team this past Sunday. North Carolina showed the country how well they can play in the first half at Duke, and this is a young team that is really starting to come together. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Wake Forest is 0-7 this year on the road, and they really haven\u2019t come close to picking up a win. They have lost their last five road games by at least 21 points. Wake Forest has five guys averaging double figures in points, but most of them are shooting a low percentage from the floor. The Demon Deacons live or die by the three-point shot on the offensive end. On the defensive end, Wake Forest is horrendous. They are allowing 77 points per game, and they allow opponents to hit 45% of their shots from the floor.<\/p>\n

North Carolina has won six of their last seven, with the one loss coming at Duke. The Tar Heels are a team that seems to be maturing nicely as the season moves along. Tyler Zeller has been a consistent force in the post for this team. Zeller averages 14.3 points per game, and he teams up with John Henson to provide a very nice post defense for North Carolina. Harrison Barnes was the top ranked player in high school basketball last year. Barnes started the season a little slowly, but he has come on in a big way of late. Barnes has scored at least 20 points in three of their last five games.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t think this game will be close at all. I really don\u2019t like betting on such huge favorites, but I think North Carolina wins this game by about 30 points. I lean toward the over as well because the pace should be very quick. <\/p>\n
