The Lakers had the game and the title, and the Celtics were denied championship No. 18.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The Celtics got amends of sorts earlier this season with a dominating win in Los Angeles and can show the two-time defending champs tonight that they are serious about grabbing the trophy back come June. Problem is, the team the Celtics send out onto the court tonight is not the same one the Lakers will see in June if both teams make it to The Finals. \"Online<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Boston has back Kendrick Perkins, who blew out a knee in Game 7 last season and whose absence down the stretch allowed the Lakers to do whatever they wanted in the paint that night. But Shaquille O\u2019Neal is out, as are rotation reserves Marquis Daniels (spine injury) and Delonte West.(wrist). That means bench players like Nate Robinson and Semi Erden move down a seat closer to Doc Rivers.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 For Los Angeles, this is game 3 of a seven-game road swing, the Lakers having already taken care of New Orleans and Memphis. They\u2019re saying all the usual things about this being just another game, and while it may be just the 53rd<\/sup> with 28 more to go after tonight, the TNT audience will know that this is hardly just another mid-February game.<\/p>\n
