California Golden Bears vs. Washington Huskies Preview <\/strong><\/p>\n

Tonight in a Pac 10 match up in the Great Northwest the struggling Washington Huskies (15-7) host the California Golden Bears (13-10). NCAAB lines have Washington as big 13-point favorites in this game.<\/p>\n

In their last games both teams played on Saturday with Washington losing to Oregon 81-76 and Cal losing a barnburner to Arizona 107-105 in triple OT.<\/p>\n

The Huskies are reeling losers of 3 straight, which has dropped them out of the top 25. The triple OT loss in Cal\u2019s last game snapped their 4-game winning streak. Both teams need to win this game, as the loser will really be on the bubble for a NCAA tourney bid.<\/p>\n

The Golden Bears are big underdogs in this game, but when these 2 teams met in mid January at Cal the Huskies were crushed losing 92-71. However, Washington has yet to lose all season at home all season.<\/p>\n

One of the main reasons the Huskies have lost 3 straight is that leading scorer Isaiah Thomas (16.5 ppg) has really struggled with his shot. In that 3-game span he has shot a combined 10-34 from the field. He has to get back on track tonight. He had 27 in the first meeting against Cal and I think he will go off tonight. With Thomas having a good game F Matthew Bryan-Amaning (15.7 ppg 7.9 rpg) will have room in the paint and will also play well.<\/p>\n

Washington is the 3rd highest scoring team in the nation and the Cal defense only ranks 219th in opponents points allowed.<\/p>\n

The Golden Bears must get back on defense in this game and on the offensive end of the court get good games from F Harper Kamp (15.1 ppg) and G Jorge Gutierrez (13.2 ppg).<\/p>\n

I think the Golden Bears will come out and play well in this game, but Washington will as well since their Big Dance hopes took a big hit with their recent 3-game skid. The Huskies will win the game, but the Golden Bears will cover the 13-point spread.<\/p>\n
