The Dallas Mavericks are finally back on the winning track. They\u2019ll try to keep the momentum rolling when they host the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

After a six-game losing streak, Dallas (30-15, 21-21-2 ATS) has won three consecutive games and is 4-1 in its past five outings. The Mavericks beat Houston 111-106 on Thursday but failed to cover the spread, continuing the team\u2019s struggles on NBA odds. Dallas is 2-9 ATS in its past 11 games.<\/p>\n

With Caron Butler done for the year and Dirk Nowitzki missing some games, the Mavs struggled to put points on the board. They\u2019ve looked much better over the last two games, scoring 112 and 111 points against the Clippers and Rockets, respectively. A whopping seven players scored in double figures against Houston on Thursday night, and the team needed just 18 points from Nowitzki.<\/p>\n

Tyson Chandler deservers a ton of credit for the resurgence. The veteran center is averaging 9.9 points per game this season, but he\u2019s scored 21 points in back-to-back games. He also hauled in 15 rebounds against Houston. Chandler is doing a great job getting to the foul line.\u00a0 He\u2019s averaged just over four attempts per game this season, but has attempted 23 free throws over his last two outings\u2014making 22 of them. \"Online<\/p>\n

Now the team just needs to get Jason Terry going. He\u2019s been a nice weapon off the bench for Dallas this season, but the guard has struggled over the last week or so. Terry has made just 24 of his last 24 of his last 62 field goals, a brutal 38 percent.<\/p>\n

Atlanta (29-17, 21-25 ATS) had lost two of three heading into Friday\u2019s game with New York. The team has been particularly bad against the spread lately, going 2-5 ATS in its past seven games.<\/p>\n

The most recent losses can mostly be blamed on an offensive brown out. Atlanta scored just 59 points in last Friday\u2019s loss to New Orleans, and then came up short 98-90 in Milwaukee on Wednesday. Look no further than Joe Johnson for an answer. The team\u2019s leading scorer managed just 24 total points in those losses while going 10-25 from the field. He also had just five assists and five rebounds in those two games.<\/p>\n

The silver lining from the Milwaukee loss was the return of Al Horford. Horford missed two games with an ankle injury but put up 17 points, 10 rebounds and five assists against the Bucks. Horford was hot before hurting his ankle, averaging 23.5 points, 9.5 rebounds and 7.0 assists in his last two healthy games.<\/p>\n

This is going to be a brutal game for the Hawks. Not only are they facing a surging Mavericks squad, they\u2019ll be playing their third game in four nights\u2014including back-to-back nights after flying late from Atlanta to Dallas. The Mavericks have broken through on the court; now they\u2019ll break through against the spread.<\/p>\n
