Texas just keeps looking better and better as Big 12 play continues. \u00a0They upset Kansas, winning by 11, breaking their home winning streak in the process, and you will be hard pressed to find a team in the nation playing better right now. \u00a0The reason they are playing so well is that their backcourt has shifted from weak point to a strength this year. \u00a0A prime reason for that is the play of freshman point guard Cory Joseph, whose presence seems have pushed everyone into the right roles. \u00a0Jordan Hamilton has been cast as the gunner and he is scoring nearly 20ppg. \u00a0<\/p>\n

He may force his offense a couple of times per game but he is shooting high percentage and leading the team in rebounds as well. \u00a0Texas is a very good team and his presence gives them a great option every time down the floor allowing others like frosh forward Tristan Thompson and the rest of the gang to do their thing. \u00a0This team is loaded where it matters – in the backcourt. \u00a0Their depth is difficult to overcome although Mizzou will try with their frenetic pace. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Big 12 is blessed with several top teams this season and they are proving their excellence time and again. \u00a0Missouri is among them with their trademark exhausting style forcing most opponents into submission. \u00a0Mizzou is fifth in the nation in scoring but it is a mostly balanced attack with 5 players averaging more than 10ppg. \u00a0Like Texas they are deep at guard and on the wing but they need their key bigs to play well or there running game grinds to a halt. \u00a0When they get into foul trouble it really fouls things up. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Mizzou has played very well all season long and beaten several good teams but the Tigers have yet to have a signature victory. \u00a0Winning on the road at Texas would be just such a feat, one that could elevate them to one of the top seed lines come March. \u00a0It won`t come easy though. \u00a0Leading scorer Marcus Denmon will have to be sharp and smart for Mizzou to achieve victory…sometimes he is neither.<\/p>\n
