It will be #4 San Diego State taking on #9 BYU Wednesday night in Provo, Utah. This will easily be the biggest game of the night, and it is a game that should be extremely entertaining. San Diego State comes into this one with a spotless 20-0 record. BYU is 19-1 and they are unbeaten on their home court. BYU won both meetings last year, but San Diego State is a much improved basketball team. Both of these teams have a chance to make some serious noise in March.<\/p>\n

The San Diego State Aztecs are 20-0, and they have some solid wins already this year. <\/p>\n

The Aztecs beat Gonzaga, California, and New Mexico on the road. They have also beaten St. Mary\u2019s and Wichita State. This team may have the deepest front court in the entire nation. Kawhi Leonard, Billy White, and Malcolm Thomas are all terrific and they play extremely well as a team. D.J. Gay is the senior point guard for this team, and he shoots 41.5% from beyond the arc. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Leonard and Thomas are both great on the glass, and this team rarely gets outrebounded. San Diego State allows opponents to shoot just 40% from the floor, and their defense has been great all year long.<\/p>\n

The BYU Cougars are led by Jimmer Fredette, who is a legitimate player of the year candidate. Fredette is averaging 26.6 points per game and he has topped 40 points twice in the last three games. Fredette is a great shooter and he can create his own shot, which is vitally important to this team. <\/p>\n

BYU averages 85 points per game, which is good enough for fifth in the nation in scoring. BYU has nine guys who average ten minutes or more of playing time each game, so depth is not a problem. <\/p>\n

Their defense is underrated, and they allow opponents to shoot just 41% from the field.<\/p>\n
