The Temple Owls are enjoying another very solid season playing their trademark punishing defense and scoring just enough to win. \u00a0Even though they already have 4 losses there is only one that stands out for me, a neutral site loss to California almost two months ago. \u00a0Losses to Texas A&M and Villanova are just fine with me and even losing at Duquesne last week is alright the way those guys are playing – the Dukes are a definite sleeper right now. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Even though the have been pretty good the Owls might just be underachieving this year. \u00a0The backcourt duo of Juan Hernandez and Ramone Moore is very solid but they are not getting the kind of production they expect from power forward Lavoy Allen. \u00a0His scoring and rebounding numbers are down this season and they need him to be more aggressive, especially against a Xavier team with some good frontcourt players. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Xavier has also been very solid this season with the only surprising loss at Miami of Ohio. \u00a0They are perfect so far in the Atlantic 10 and \u00a0point guard Tu Holloway has really expanded his game with the departure of Jordan Crawford and Drew Lavender. \u00a0He is averaging a hair over 20ppg and 5 assists. \u00a0<\/p>\n

So far the Musketeers have a miserable 5-10-1 ATS record but that has improved in the A-10 where they are playing more familiar squads (3-1 ATS). \u00a0They are looking to avenge a loss at Temple last year and they are very tough at home. \u00a0<\/p>\n

In the A-10 there isn’t huge separation at the top of the conference and this should be one of the games that decides things at the top. \u00a0A potential slugfest with all the big bodies involved.<\/p>\n
