Smith wasn’t fantastic against the Terps but he has upped his game since frosh sensation Kyrie Irving went down to injury. \u00a0He is not as talented as Irving but we are also beginning to see the emergence of transfer Seth Curry who was struggling to get important minutes with all of Duke’s backcourt depth before the injury. \u00a0<\/p>\n

The longer Irving is out the more important he becomes to Duke’s continued success. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Seminoles are always a bit of a tease their fans and handicappers. \u00a0They do have talent and play very good defense (2nd in FG%D) but they also tend to lose when you least expect – like at Auburn last week as 13 point favourites. \u00a0<\/p>\n

The main challenge they have is scoring the basketball. Chris Singleton is a very gifted athlete and a lethal defensive presence but his offensive game still needs some refinement. \u00a0After him they do not have anyone else who scores in double figures, they sometimes go long stretches where their offense is stagnant. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Against a team like Duke it is awfully hard to win no matter how good your defense is. \u00a0One thing if for sure if that the Seminoles will not be pushed around by the Blue Devils. \u00a0They have good size inside to make it difficult for the Plumlee brothers. \u00a0FSU can challenge Duke for sure but beating them is something else altogether.<\/p>\n
