The Miami Heat may have started the season slowly, but they sure have it rolling now. Miami has won 21 of their last 22 games. The one defeat during that time span was a two point loss to the Dallas Mavericks. The Los Angeles Clippers started the year with a 5-21 record, but they have since won seven of their last ten.<\/p>\n

Blake Griffin has brought excitement to the team, and the squad is starting to show some improved team chemistry.<\/p>\n

The Miami Heat haven\u2019t been dominating games in the last week, but they have been finding a way to win each contest. The big three have been living up to their name extremely well of late. Take Monday\u2019s win over Portland as a perfect example of just how terrific the big three has been. LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, and Chris Bosh combined to score 96 of the team\u2019s 107 points. Miami has been terrific largely because they can beat you in a number of ways.<\/p>\n

The Heat have the ability to get out and run when needed, but they also are solid in their half court sets. Miami is ranked first in the NBA in field goal percentage defense, and their rebounding has been solid as well. It\u2019s tough to find a weakness on this team right now, but there are still some questions as to whether they can handle a high-scoring big man. Miami isn\u2019t a team anyone wants to play right now. \"Sports<\/p>\n

The Los Angeles Clippers looked like they might be the laughing stock of the league again earlier this year, but this team has certainly turned it around of late. Blake Griffin may be in his first season in the NBA, but he is already the clear leader of this team. How great has Griffin been of late? He has scored at least 20 points and brought down at least 10 rebounds in twelve straight games. Griffin is the first player to do that since Shaquille O\u2019Neal in 2001.<\/p>\n

While Griffin gets of the attention, another young player has stepped up in a big way for the Clippers as well. Eric Gordon is leading the team with 23.5 points per game this season. Gordon does a good job taking care of the basketball, and he is getting a better grasp of the offense as the season moves along. The Clippers are one of the best rebounding teams in the NBA. The Achilles heel of this team is definitely their free throw shooting. The Clippers are knocking down just 68.8% of their free throws, which has already cost them several games.<\/p>\n
