How Can Green Bay City Win?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Let\u2019s face it: Aaron Rodgers means a lot to the Green Bay Packers. They need him in the lineup and if he\u2019s not around, they are in some serious trouble.<\/p>\n

If Rodgers is healthy enough to play, the Packers do have the weapons in the passing game to pick apart a secondary that is young and inexperienced. If he\u2019s not healthy enough to play, Matt Flynn has to do the same.<\/p>\n

On defense, they\u2019ll have to find a way to get to Tom Brady and force him into a bad throw or two. That job will be pinned on linebacker Clay Matthews, who can be a difference maker.<\/p>\n

Lastly, the special teams will also have to make up for the loss of Rodgers if he can\u2019t go. Mason Crosby will have to be sharp but the return teams will have to put Green Bay in good position because their offense might not move it very much.<\/p>\n

How Can New England Win?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Do what they always do at home in the regular season with Tom Brady: win. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Patriots have won 26 regular season home games when Brady has started and not much should change this weekend \u2013\u00a0even if Rodgers is healthy.<\/p>\n

The Packers are a one-dimensional team and that strategy just doesn\u2019t always work. Yes, the NFL is a passing-oriented game nowadays and the running game isn\u2019t as important but there has to be some balance. The Packers don\u2019t have it and without Rodgers in the lineup, neither facets of their offense are going to work. Need some evidence? They only scored three points on the road in Detroit last week, how much better will they do in New England?<\/p>\n

The Patriots are the best team in the league right now and they need this win if they want to secure home field advantage throughout the playoffs. This is a gimme but they have to take advantage.<\/p>\n

Outlook<\/strong><\/p>\n

This would have been a tough game for Green Bay to win even if they were healthy. Without their MVP, this will be even tougher.<\/p>\n

Either way, the Patriots are the significantly better team and they are playing at home where they rarely lose. On the flip side, Green Bay is on back-to-back road games and they are coming off of a deflating performance in Detroit. This is just a tough spot for them.<\/p>\n

New England will be steadily in control of this contest from start to finish and without Rodgers, the Packers don\u2019t even have a puncher\u2019s chance.<\/p>\n
