Chicago<\/strong><\/p>\n

You can say what you want about the weather last week but the Bears were thoroughly outplayed by the New England Patriots.\u00a0 Lucky for them the Lions shocked the Packers so their slim lead in the NFC North is still in tact.\u00a0 This week they get division rival Minnesota who despite their stadium collapsing might actually be experiencing some calm with the Favre streak now over and done with.<\/p>\n

The Bears gained only 138 yards of offense last week so if they want to win against the Vikings they might want to crack 200 on Monday night.\u00a0 They can\u2019t blame it all on the weather because Brady and Co. managed to rack up close to 500 yards of total offense.\u00a0 As always it starts with Jay Cutler.\u00a0 He was brutal last week.\u00a0 I don\u2019t have any numbers on this but if he struggles in the cold things could be even worse on Monday evening now that the game has been moved outside. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Adding to the Bears challenges this week is that they haven\u2019t won at Minnesota in a long time.\u00a0 All those previous games were on the fast track of the Metrodome so maybe the game moving will enable them to change their luck.\u00a0 This series usually has the home team winning so be careful backing the Bears whenever the spread is released.<\/p>\n

Minnesota<\/strong><\/p>\n

Has the shine rubbed off Leslie Frazier?\u00a0 In an odd game played at Ford Field in Detroit the Vikings lost the first game of the Frazier era to the Giants 21-3.\u00a0 As if it couldn\u2019t get any weirder Brett Favre was unable to answer the bell ending the streak and enabling Frazier to see how the team would play with Tavaris Jackson at the helm.\u00a0 The results weren\u2019t great before Jackson left due to injury.<\/p>\n

I am excited about rookie Joe Webb getting the nod this weekend.\u00a0 At this point he is more of an athlete than a field general but if the weather is going to be crazy he could have some success running on a snowy field.\u00a0 For his sake I hope that Adrian Peterson and Percy Harvin are healthy enough to go.\u00a0 Otherwise his only option might be going deep to Sydney Rice.<\/p>\n

When you move a game to a new venue you never know what can happen.\u00a0 Last week Ford Field was dead but you have to think that this week the Vikings can expect a partisan crowd.\u00a0 Plus given how green Webb is it might make him more comfortable to play in a college environment.\u00a0 This is going to be a tough one to call.\u00a0 Lucky we have until Monday.<\/p>\n

The Pick: <\/strong>There are so many unknown variables in play here.\u00a0 The one known is the Bears and I don\u2019t like this team one bit.\u00a0 Back the Vikings and enjoy the show<\/p>\n
