Typically, in Week 15 the talk around the Indianapolis Colts is about when they are going to start resting their starters for their playoff run, but not this year. The playoffs started in Week 13 for this team \u2013\u00a0a loss in any game would certainly end their string of playoff appearances! Now the Colts have to hope to avoid a season sweep at the hands of the suddenly Hot Jacksonville Jaguars this weekend to keep the dream alive!<\/p>\n

The Jacksonville Jaguars somehow lead the AFC South. They have a one game lead on Indianapolis and can clinch a most improbable playoff berth this weekend!<\/p>\n

The Jags have the 29th<\/sup> ranked passing offense, averaging 184.15 yards per game and the 2nd<\/sup> ranked running game in the league, averaging 157.85 yards per game. Maurice Jones-Drew has entered the MVP chatter with his sixth straight 100 yard effort. He is now second in the NFL in rushing (1278 yards) and is the sole reason for Jacksonville\u2019s success. Backup Rashard Jennings and his 206 yards rushing in his last two games also helps. The Jags rushers gained 174 yards in the first meeting with the Colts \u2013 expect much of the same.<\/p>\n

Jacksonville\u2019s defensive strength (if you can call it a strength) is against the run and their weakness is against the pass. The Indy offense is a bit of a matchup nightmare for this unit \u2013\u00a0the Colts can\u2019t run the ball but they sure can throw.<\/p>\n

The Indianapolis Colts live! They shook their brutal slump last week and although they didn\u2019t dominate against Tennessee, they did win behind a long awaited good performance from Peyton Manning. The gravity of Sunday\u2019s game isn\u2019t lost on these players \u2013\u00a0Indianapolis will be ready.<\/p>\n

The Colts still own the best passing game in the NFL, averaging 304 yards per game through the air and they still have the worst running game in the league, generating just 79.69 yards per game. Both units could get a boost this weekend with Austin Collie and Joseph Addai possibly returning to the lineup.<\/p>\n

Peyton Manning, after throwing 11 interceptions in three games rebounded last week and threw for 319 yards, two touchdowns and zero interceptions. The most dominant player in the game appears to be back on form.<\/p>\n

The Indianapolis defense continues to be a major issue. The 29th<\/sup> ranked run defense (141.08 yards per game) is going to have its hands full with the Jacksonville running game that has been on fire as of late. The 8th<\/sup> ranked passing game likely won`t be called on too often in this one \u2013 the Jags will live or die by the run.<\/p>\n

Betting Prediction:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Jacksonville Jaguars are 5-1 SU in their last six games but are just 5-12 SU in their last 17 games on the road. They are 5-14 SU in their last 19 games against Indianapolis and are 1-4 SU in their last five trips to Indianapolis.<\/p>\n

The Indianapolis Colts are 2-4 SU in their last six games and are 1-4 ATS in their last five. Indianapolis is 19-4 SU in their last 23 games at home, is 14-5 SU in their last 19 versus the Jags but is just 2-4 ATS in their last six games against Jacksonville. They are 4-1 SU in their last five games at home versus the Jaguars but are just 1-5 ATS in their last six on home turf against Jacksonville.<\/p>\n

The Jacksonville Jaguars always play the Colts very tough and I expect the same in this one. Indy will do a lot of damage through the air while the Jaguars are sure to get a lot of production on the ground. I expect a very close game again. The Jags will make the Colts sweat by will cover the five points in the end. Colts win but Jacksonville cover.<\/p>\n
