Buffalo Bills vs. Miami Dolphins Preview<\/strong><\/p>\n

Ryan Fitzpatrick and Chad Henne are young starting quarterbacks on AFC East teams, but the comparisons end there as they appear to be headed in opposite directions.<\/p>\n

Fitzpatrick has played well enough to earn another season as the Bills\u2019 No. 1 quarterback, even if the owner is on record as saying that the team needs to look elsewhere.<\/p>\n

The victories have been few and far between for 3-10 Buffalo, but Fitzpatrick has been able to put up decent numbers, and you really can\u2019t blame him when his receivers drop game-winning touchdowns in the end zone.<\/p>\n

Chan Gailey says the job belongs to Fitzpatrick, and it doesn\u2019t hurt to have the head coach on your side when training camp opens up in early August.<\/p>\n

In Miami, Chad Henne\u2019s feet rest on thinner ice after two low-scoring efforts (10 points each in a loss to Cleveland and win over the Jets). The Fins are again talking about replacing Henne, ignoring the possibility that the cure (perhaps a step back while the new guy acclimates himself) may be worse than the disease. At least the Dolphins are on the periphery of playoff contention at 7-6, and would be 8-5 and in the conversation had they taken care of the Browns at home. \"Sports<\/a><\/p>\n

The Dolphins had no problem with Henne when they moved the ball up and down the field against Oakland a few weeks ago. Now there are increasing calls to make a move.<\/p>\n

While attention has been focused on Fitzpatrick and Henne, there are other concerns for both the Bills and Dolphins as they try to gain traction in an AFC East which seems set in cement with New England at the top and the Jets No. 2. Buffalo needs to figure out a way to stop the run.<\/p>\n

The Bills give up more yards on the ground (165 a game) than any other team \u2013 things were so bad a few weeks ago in Minnesota that Buffalo picked off four Vikings passes and still lost when they gave up 240 yards rushing.<\/p>\n

Miami\u2019s problems have been exacerbated by a tough schedule. Until that brain fart against the Browns, the Dolphins had come up short against the Jets, Patriots, Steelers, Ravens and Bears. Those teams now have a combined record of 49-7. They didn\u2019t win those games for one reason \u2013 they aren\u2019t good enough.<\/p>\n

Picks: <\/strong><\/p>\n

It doesn\u2019t take Stephen Hawking to figure out how this one will play out. Buffalo can\u2019t stop the run and has a decent secondary.<\/p>\n

Miami QBs have thrown 13 interceptions in the six games they\u2019ve lost, so expect Ricky Williams and Ronnie Brown to get the ball on first and second down, and a lot of time on third down too.<\/p>\n

Miami wears down Buffalo in the second half and covers.<\/p>\n
