Cleveland<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Cleveland Browns have had some big wins this year, but they haven\u2019t been consistent enough. The same team that beat the Saints and the Dolphins on the road also lost to Buffalo last weekend.<\/p>\n

The Cleveland offense was awful last weekend. Peyton Hillis hit the 1,000 yards gained mark for the year, but that was about the only positive thing that came out of the game in Buffalo for this unit. Jake Delhomme continued his poor play, and the chatter in the last couple days is that Eric Mangini may go with Colt McCoy at the quarterback spot this weekend. McCoy has clearly performed better than any other quarterback for Cleveland, and he seems to be healthy again. The Browns will likely give the ball to Hillis a lot in this game. Hillis had a big game earlier this year against the Bengals.<\/p>\n

The Browns defense has played very well in the last couple weeks. This defense doesn\u2019t have any stars, but they have done a nice job keeping their opponent out of the end zone this year. The young secondary is improving every game, and they will test a questionable Bengals passing game. Cleveland needs to improve on the defensive line in order to compete with the best teams in the NFL, but Cincinnati hasn\u2019t been able to run well this year. \"Sports<\/a><\/p>\n

Cincinnati<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Bengals started strong last week, but faded after some key turnovers in their loss to the Steelers. The Bengals have now tied a franchise worst with ten straight losses. Will an intrastate rival bring out the best in this team?<\/p>\n

Carson Palmer had two interceptions run back for a touchdown last week, and he continues to have a terrible season. Palmer has thrown 18 interceptions and his passer rating is now just 78.1 this year. Terrell Owens has had a good year, but he hasn\u2019t been quite as productive in the last few games. Chad Ocho Cinco has had a bit of a down year, as have most of the Bengals. Rookie Jermaine Gresham has been one of the few bright spots on this offense. Cedric Benson is averaging just 3.5 yards per carry, and the running game just hasn\u2019t gotten on track all year long.<\/p>\n

The Bengals defense has been a big disappointment this year as well. The secondary has been hit hard by injuries, and they are very thin right now at the cornerback position. Johnathan Joseph is questionable for this week\u2019s game, and the Bengals badly need him in the lineup. The front four hasn\u2019t been able to stop the run this year, and they virtually never get pressure on the opposing quarterback. The Bengals are last in the NFL in sacks. Cincinnati is allowing 26.5 points per game this year.<\/p>\n

The Pick:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Bengals may have more overall talent than the Browns, but they have been a mess this year. The Browns were horrible last weekend in Buffalo as well. I expect an ugly game here, and I actually think the Bengals are likely to win this one, which will basically just hurt their NFL draft position.<\/p>\n
