College football betting players should take a break from their bowl research to check out a couple of non-conference games on the hardwood on Wednesday, and the focus is on the Big Ten, where a couple of top-25 teams will try to avoid massive upsets.<\/p>\n

Florida Gulf Coast Ohio State Betting \u2013\u00a0Wednesday, 6:30 PM ET<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Eagles (2-5) have now dropped four straight games after a 71-56 loss at Jacksonville, and they\u2019re now 0-2 in the Atlantic Sun standings. The No.2 Buckeyes (8-0) continued to roll after an 85-60 romp over Western Carolina, and they\u2019ve now won their first games by at least 11 points. The Buckeyes will be a huge favorite at home, and the Eagles will have to figure out a way to slow down freshman Jared Sullinger, who has been a monster for Ohio State so far. Sullinger is averaging 18.0 points and 9.3 boards, including a monster 40-point performance in a win over IUPUI that is a new record for Ohio State freshman, and if you\u2019re checking out\u00a0NBA scores<\/a>, you need to keep your eye on him as he\u2019ll likely be a top-three pick in the upcoming draft. But the Buckeyes can also shoot it from deep if you collapse on Sullinger, and it\u2019ll be far too much for Florida Gulf Coast to handle.<\/p>\n

Beware of the point spread as the Buckeyes are 1-4 ATS when they\u2019re favored by eight or more points, but the SU win is a sure thing.<\/p>\n

Akron Minnesota Betting \u2013\u00a0Wednesday, 8:30 PM ET<\/strong><\/p>\n

The No.22 Golden Gophers (9-1) have won three in a row after a 71-58 victory at home over Eastern Kentucky, pulling away after a three-point lead at halftime. In the third of a four-game road trip, the Zips (4-3) got thumped 82-47 at Temple and they figure to be big underdogs on the road at Minnesota, who are facing the Zips for the first time. You would probably be better off looking for a holiday\u00a0sportsbook promo<\/a> than betting on the Zips in Minnesota, where the Golden Gophers have played six of their 10 games so far at home.<\/p>\n

This game will be won on the boards, where the Golden Golphers are 34th<\/sup> in the nation, while Akron is 288th<\/sup>, and they just don\u2019t have the size inside to hang with Minnesota, who are powered by the duo of Trevor Mbakwe and Ralph Sampson III.<\/p>\n

The Zips may get out to a fast start as they have eight days between their beating at Temple and this game, so they\u2019ll want to put in a good effort early, but eventually Minnesota\u2019s size will carry them to the\u00a0online sports betting win.<\/p>\n
