The Pens didn\u2019t win the Stanley Cup that season but they did set an NHL record with a 17-game winning streak. The Pens have won 12 straight games and counting. Sidney Crosby leads the NHL with 51 points in 31 games and has a point in 18 straight contests. In the modern era, those numbers are almost as impressive as Mario\u2019s back in the day. The Penguins will try to make it 13 straight victories tonight in Philadelphia but it won\u2019t be easy. The Flyers are the Eastern Conference\u2019s highest-scoring team. We knew Mike Richards and Jeff Carter would be forces again this season but the Flyers are especially thrilled to see that Claude Giroux, Daniel Briere and Ville Leino have carried over their outstanding play from the 2010 playoffs.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s tempting to pick the Flyers at home but the betting trends favor Pittsburgh. The Pens have won 21 of their last 30 meetings with Philadelphia and the road team has won six of seven in this series.
