Los Angeles Lakers (17-7)<\/strong><\/p>\n

After a four-game losing streak, the Lakers are back on track. In real life, that is. Winning four of five is nothing to sneeze at but, since they\u2019ve barely scraped by in most of those games, they haven\u2019t redeemed themselves in bettors\u2019 eyes yet. In fact, the Lakers have been a nightmare for anyone picking them against the spread. They\u2019re 1-9 ATS over their last 10 games and 0-4 ATS over their last four.<\/p>\n

Over the last week, L.A. was favored against Washington by 13 and won by just seven; it beat the lowly Clippers by a single point on a buzzer-beating layup by Derek Fisher; and it failed to cover a nine-point spread against the Nets. It also escaped Chicago with a four-point win. Tonight will mark their fourth straight road game and it\u2019s possible they\u2019re just growing tired.<\/p>\n

However, the Lakers do look like they\u2019ll get a shot in the arm tonight. Andrew Bynum is probable to make his season debut. Assuming he\u2019s 100 per cent, he could give L.A. a better chance of covering the 10.5 points.

\nWashington Wizards (6-16)<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Wizards keep doing what they do: lose games. They\u2019ve lost four straight and eight of nine. It certainly doesn\u2019t help that rookie John Wall is hobbled by a sore knee. The first overall pick has missed seven of 22 games this season. He tried to labor through the Wizards\u2019 last game against the Knicks but tallied just eight points on 4 of 14 shooting in 36 minutes.<\/p>\n

Wall will not play tonight against L.A., meaning the Wizards will have to replace the production of a guy who scored 22 points and had 14 assists against the defending champs last week. At least Nick Young is healthy and ready to contribute; he averages 18.3 points in six career games against the Lakers \u2013 his highest average against any team.<\/p>\n

The pick:<\/strong><\/p>\n

I expect a very similar score to last week\u2019s game. I know there\u2019s no John Wall but the Lakers are growing sluggish on this road trip. The underdog is 7-3 ATs over the last 10 meetings between these two teams. I also don\u2019t think we should overrate Bynum\u2019s return. The Lakers are likely to limit his minutes and the big man will need time to find his legs. Thanks to the Wizards\u2019 porous defense, the Lakers should score enough to win, but they won\u2019t cover the double-digit spread.<\/p>\n
