Now that Tre’von Willis is back from suspension the Rebs have all of their starters back from a tournament team a year ago. \u00a0In the early going they have been fairly impressive beating Wisconsin and Virginia Tech, two teams destined for the post season. \u00a0Willis has struggled to regain his form but UNLV is getting good production out of 6’8″ guard Chace Stanback. \u00a0 \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Stanback is shooting 60% from the floor and his scoring is up 4ppg. \u00a0He is a leading a perimeter based attack that should be OK handling the pressure defense that Louisville likes to employ. \u00a0The top five scorers on this team are all guards but this team does have enough bulk to compete with Louisville which has no dominant post presence.<\/p>\n

This is supposed to be a a rebuilding year for the Cardinals as they lost several key players from last year. \u00a0They are 7-0 but still haven’t proven much with their perfection. \u00a0The best team they have beaten is Butler who has shown some shakiness to start the season. \u00a0If they beat UNLV than maybe we can consider them a sleeper in the Big East. \u00a0<\/p>\n

Louisville is winning with a very balanced attack. \u00a04 players are averaging between 11.6 and 11.1 points per game led by Mike Marra who is benefitting from increased playing time. \u00a0<\/p>\n

He and fellow guard Preston Knowles are shooting poorly, less than 40%, but 4 other regulars are all shooting above 50%. \u00a0This team is still a tough one to figure out. We will know more after Saturday.<\/p>\n
