Cleveland<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Cleveland Browns have things going in the right direction this year. This team has now won four of their last six games overall, including wins at New Orleans and at Miami. Eric Mangini\u2019s team seems to be gaining confidence each week.<\/p>\n

Jake Delhomme will make his third straight start for the Browns this Sunday. Colt McCoy is still out with an injury, and it is unclear who the starter will be once McCoy is healthy. The star of the Cleveland offense has been Peyton Hillis. Hillis was largely unknown before this year, but he has made a name for himself with his hard-nosed running style. Hillis has 962 yards this year, and he is averaging 4.4 yards per carry. The passing game is just 27th<\/sup> in the NFL in yards per game, so they must improve. The Browns should continue to try to involve Joshua Cribbs in the offense as much as possible.<\/p>\n

The Cleveland defense has allowed quite a few yards this year, but they have done a great job keeping the opposition out of the end zone. The Browns are allowing just 19.9 points per game, which is good for 11th<\/sup> in the NFL. Scott Fujita and D\u2019Qwell Jackson are both injured, so the linebacker spot is a little thin right now. T.J. Ward has been a nice surprise in the secondary for the Browns. \"Sports<\/a><\/p>\n

Buffalo<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Buffalo Bills had been playing much better football in the last few weeks, until they were blown out by the Minnesota Vikings last weekend. Buffalo has lost in overtime three times in their last seven games. This team seems to be improving, but they still have some major weaknesses.<\/p>\n

The Bills offense is led by quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fitzpatrick is having the best year of his career this season. He has thrown 20 touchdown passes compared to just 11 interceptions. Fred Jackson is doing a nice job at the running back spot for Buffalo. Jackson is averaging 4.4 yards per carry this year. The Bills offensive line has been a weakness all year long, and until they can get better up front it will be difficult for them to be consistent against the best defenses in the NFL.<\/p>\n

The Buffalo defense has been bad this year. The run defense is the worst in the NFL, and the pass defense is no better than mediocre. The Bills are giving up 28 points per game this season. The front four haven\u2019t done a very good job getting after the quarterback, which forces the team to bring more blitzes. The lack of a run stopper in the interior has been the single biggest problem for this unit all year long. Until they can stop the run a little more consistently, this defense will continue to struggle.<\/p>\n

The Pick:<\/strong><\/p>\n

It looks like the weather will be very messy in Buffalo on Sunday. In poor conditions I think the Browns have the better rushing attack and the better run defense. I like the Browns to win this in an ugly game.<\/p>\n
