Our man The Wiesguy has been deep in study and will provide his take and 2010\u00a0College Football Predictions<\/strong><\/a> all season long for the 2010\/11 college football betting season.<\/p>\n CLICK HERE TO VIEW OUR EXPERTS WEEKLY COLLEGE FOOTBALL PREDICTIONS —–><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n College Football Line Preview:\u00a0 Championship Week<\/strong><\/p>\n I don\u2019t normally stump for teams at this time of year but I have to say I think that Temple not receiving a bid will be the worst thing that has ever happened to Temple football.\u00a0 Why?\u00a0 Because why would highly regarded coach Al Golden stay at a school where 8 victories leaves you out in the cold.<\/p>\n That said there are some intriguing bowl matchups that won\u2019t really decide anything.\u00a0 Everyone is ranking the bowls right now but as \u201cinvestors\u201d we could care less about the quality of play, we want a predictable outcome where there is money to be made right?<\/p>\n These are the ones that I will be placing my ducats on.\u00a0 It can be a long month of bowl action so pace yourself accordingly.<\/p>\n Humanitarian Bowl<\/strong> Northern Illinois vs Fresno State (+3) <\/strong>– The Huskies lost their conference and now their coach and will be playing a Fresno State team led by one of the feistiest coaches in the game.\u00a0 The Bulldogs should be feeling good after beating Illinois and won\u2019t be pushed around by the size and experience of NIU.\u00a0 I thought Fresno would have been the favourite here but Northern Illinois gets the early nod.\u00a0 I would get on this line now.\u00a0 There is no way it doesn\u2019t move in the other direction.<\/p>\n Beef O\u2019Brady\u2019s Bowl<\/strong> Southern Mississippi vs. Louisville (-3.5) <\/strong>– The Cardinals are a nice success story with first year coach Charlie Strong.\u00a0 Still I like the way Southern Miss has really come on offensively throughout the season and think they can win this one in a shootout.\u00a0 These teams have some history and met last year with Louisville winning at home.\u00a0 As long as their defense isn\u2019t horrible Southern Miss has the firepower to get it done.<\/p>\n Hawaii Bowl<\/strong> Tulsa vs Hawaii (-12)<\/strong> – A very surprising line.\u00a0 Sure Hawaii has one of the most explosive offenses in the nation but Tulsa isn\u2019t far behind.\u00a0 The Rainbows are the stronger defensive squad but not enough to be favoured by this much in a game that will likely not have much intensity on Christmas Eve.\u00a0 If you are not going to play for the BCS crown or in the Rose Bowl what could be better than the holidays in Hawaii.\u00a0 Still grab Tulsa to keep pace with the home team, this one is already coming down. <\/p>\n Champs Sports Bowl<\/strong> NC State vs West Virginia (-2.5)<\/strong> – With all due respect to UConn you can not convince me that the Mountaineers are not the best team in the Big East (for now).\u00a0 Every where I go I read about how the WVU defense hasn\u2019t given up more than 21 points in a game this season.\u00a0 It is annoying that nobody is writing about anything else but it is impressive nonetheless.\u00a0 I haven\u2019t been impressed with NC State all season long and I am not a Russell Wilson fan.\u00a0 Overall his numbers are just mediocre.\u00a0 I love WVU in this spot.\u00a0 Again hit it hard it is going up.<\/p>\n Insight Bowl<\/strong> Missouri vs Iowa (+1)<\/strong> – I have to believe that the Hawkeyes are going to show up eventually.\u00a0 They are just too good and too well coached to not right?\u00a0 Mizzou is good too but if both these teams play their best game Iowa should win by 10 points easy.\u00a0 Iowa was the early short favourite at -1 but now is the slight dog.\u00a0 I think cooler heads will prevail so you might want to see how many points you can get with them and hammer it.\u00a0 Maybe even play them on the ML too for some extra payday. Military Bowl<\/strong> East Carolina vs Maryland (-7.5) <\/strong>– The Terps have enjoyed a nice season, their best in a few years.\u00a0 Meanwhile ECU has totally transformed itself from a tough defense oriented squad into a high flying aerial show.\u00a0 The weather could be a factor but unless it is impossible to throw the Pirates should be able to wing it enough to keep it close and possibly even pull the upset.\u00a0 This is one of the few lines that has held steady since it release that half point make it all ECU for me.<\/p>\n Alamo Bowl<\/strong> Oklahoma State vs Arizona (+6.5)<\/strong> – When the Wildcats beat Iowa they were supposed to be taking a huge step but they have stumbled down the stretch.\u00a0 On the other side the Cowboys were supposed to be terrible this year but with a high powered offense have been one of the surprise teams (9-3 ATS) of the season.\u00a0 They have one of the most exciting offenses in the nation so Arizona is not going to be afforded much breathing room.\u00a0 OSU plays at a fast pace similar to Oregon and I expect the game to go similar to Arizona\u2019s loss to the Ducks a few weeks back.\u00a0 A lot of promise but ultimately no cigar.<\/p>\n Gator Bowl<\/strong> Michigan vs Mississippi State (+6) <\/strong>– An SEC vs Big Ten matchup is always interesting.\u00a0 Mississippi State is an underrated team that has held their own against top competition all season while Michigan has shown flashes at times of being a team on the rise.\u00a0 The X factor here is Wolverines QB Denard Robinson.\u00a0 I think a month off to heal will mean he can finish what he starts and make Big Blue a decent upset candidate.\u00a0 Even if they fall short I think he can keep them in the game against an MSU squad that is not explosive offensively.<\/p>\n Cotton Bowl<\/strong> LSU vs Texas A&M (+1)<\/strong> – The Aggies are one of the more interesting stories this year.\u00a0 They are enjoying a nice renaissance after benching their starting QB.\u00a0 Still I think LSU is the play here.\u00a0 When they faced a top D against Nebraska they really struggled even though they grabbed the victory.\u00a0 LSU has a similarly good defense and enough athletes and playmakers all over the field to win.\u00a0 They are a good play with the short spread even though it could be a pro A&M crowd at the Cotton Bowl.<\/p>\n BBVA Compass Bowl<\/strong> Pittsburgh vs Kentucky (+2.5)<\/strong> – Yes it is true that the SEC is a tough conference and that any team that can run that gauntlet deserves post-season consideration.\u00a0 The Wildcats did upset South Carolina and had a close call against Auburn but double digit losses to Florida and Georgia indicate this team is hardly elite.\u00a0 Pittsburgh just lost their leader so it will interesting to see how they prepare and perform.\u00a0 Considering it is a good gig I think there is a good chance they make a smart hire that provides momentum.\u00a0 Either way they have more talent than UK.<\/p>\n CHECK OUT OUR College football betting forums<\/strong><\/a> today!
