Wow \u2013\u00a0didn\u2019t see this one coming! The Indianapolis Colts find themselves in an unfamiliar position \u2013 having to win out just to qualify for the playoffs. Their quest for late, late season perfection begins on Thursday night when they travel to Tennessee to take on a Titans team that has been absolutely horrible themselves. It is a matchup of a team on a three game losing streak against a team that is on a five game losing streak.<\/p>\n

The problems for the Indianapolis Colts are very very well documented. Injuries, the lack of a running game, poor defensive play and most of all, the uncharacteristically bad play of Peyton Manning have all contributed to the Colts\u2019\u00a0woes. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Peyton Manning has thrown 11 interceptions in his last three games \u2013\u00a0four of which were returned for touchdowns. He hasn\u2019t had a quarterback rating over 100 since Week 6 and his frustration is evident on every series that he is on the field. Manning has been victimized by poor route running, dropped passed and ill-advised throws. The fact is that his last ranked running game is providing no support and Manning still commands the best passing game in the NFL (303.33 yards per game)!<\/p>\n

Look, Peyton will get over his slump and the Tennessee Titans appear to be the perfect cure for his woes. If Manning can\u2019t find success against the free-falling Tennessee defense then maybe it just wasn\u2019t meant to be.<\/p>\n

Defensively, the Colts have been torched against the run – sound familiar? They are 29th<\/sup> against the run and now have the unenviable task of slowing down a hungry Chris Johnson.<\/p>\n

The Tennessee Titans appear to have given up on the season. How else do you explain the fact that they haven\u2019t scored an offensive touchdown in 13 quarters? Is there another explanation for the 12th<\/sup> ranked running game generating only 81 combined yards in the last two games against the defensively challenged Texans and Jaguars?<\/p>\n

Kerry Collins was brutal last week completing 14 of 32 passes for 169 yards, zero touchdowns and two interceptions. At least Rusty Smith had an excuse. Thank God Kenny Britt is scheduled to return this week \u2013\u00a0since joining the Titans, Randy Moss has caught a combined five balls for 62 yards!<\/p>\n

The Titans 23rd<\/sup> ranked pass defense (238.67 yards per game) had better be ready, Peyton Manning is coming to play and he\u2019s pissed off!<\/p>\n

Betting Prediction:<\/strong><\/p>\n

They say that you have to hit rock bottom and admit your shortcomings before you can hit the road to recovery. Manning has taken full responsibility and last week\u2019s overtime loss against Dallas has to be rock bottom doesn\u2019t it? I think the Colts return to form, for this week at least. Indianapolis will score points, that much is certain. The Titans won\u2019t score points, that much is certain. Colts prevail in a big way on Thursday!<\/p>\n
