NFL Week 14 Preview<\/strong><\/h2>\n

With less than a month of football to go, Week 14 of the 2010-11 NFL season gives us some tasty late season divisional contests. My pick for Game of the Week is New England at Chicago Two teams looking to remain atop their respective divisions. Here I take a look at all of this week\u2019s nfl matchups<\/strong><\/a>, giving you some early insight that will help make your 2010 NFL wagers winners. <\/p>\n

LOOKING FOR NFL WEEK 14 ODDS? —–><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

THU, DEC 9 TIME (ET)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Indianapolis at Tennessee 8:20 PM NFL \u2013<\/strong>The Titans have lost five in a row while the Colts are scrambling to get into a playoff spot after dropping another game in Week 13. The Colts beat their divisional rival both times last season once before and once after Tennessee righted their sinking The Titans will surely get their money\u2019s worth out of RB Chris Johnson in this AFC South match up. Can Indy\u2019s undersized defense contain him? I\u2019m not sure.<\/p>\n

SUN, DEC 12 TIME (ET) <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Cleveland at Buffalo 1:00 PM CBS \u2013<\/strong> The Browns are on a two game winning streak while the Bills try to salvage something from this season. Mix in a little cold wet weather in the frigid north and you got a turnover fest. With a better running game, the Browns get it down on the road.<\/p>\n

New England at Chicago 1:00 PM CBS \u2013<\/strong> The Pats are on a roll after their win over the Jets on MNF. The Bears are also on a roll riding a five game winning streak. The biggest question before the season began was whether the Bear\u2019s Jay Cutler can record more passing TDs than interceptions. The answer is yes but that could chance with S Brandon Meriweather floating around in the New England secondary. I like Chicago for the upset at home.<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay at Washington 1:00 PM FOX \u2013<\/strong> Two teams headed in the same direction-down. Both teams could catch a break here. If QB Donovan McNabb can hook up with WR Santana Moss\u00a0it could be a long outing for the ageing Ronde Barber. The running game is the factor in this and Tampa has the edge.<\/p>\n

Atlanta at Carolina 1:00 PM FOX \u2013<\/strong> The Panthers will host AFC South foes Atlanta in the first of two meetings in 2010. This is definitely the tale of two teams headed in opposite directions. Unless something goes terribly wrong, Atlanta gets the road victory here.<\/p>\n

Oakland at Jacksonville 1:00 PM CBS \u2013<\/strong>The Raiders run stoppers will have their hands full with the Jags potent rushing attack of Maurice Jones-Drew. This is a must win for both teams with playoff implications galore. I think the Raiders pass D and rushing attack match up well, but their inability to stop the run will be their demise. \"betED\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Green Bay at Detroit 1:00 PM FOX<\/strong> \u2013Green Bay has won five of their last six games and Aaron Rodgers is putting together another Pro Bowl season. Though the Lions are the best 2-10 team in the league, turning in some close loses, the Pack passing game is enough to sully a soft Detroit secondary in this one.<\/p>\n

NY Giants at Minnesota 1:00 PM FOX \u2013<\/strong> With or without Brett Favre this will be a tough contest for the G-Men. The Vikes run stoppers should pretty much force Eli Manning to the air where he\u2019s likely to pluck some luck with a weaker Minny secondary.<\/p>\n

Cincinnati at Pittsburgh 1:00 PM CBS \u2013<\/strong> The Bengals are an embarrassment having now lost none in a row. Both teams rely more heavily on the pass so it will come down to who can control the ground game better. The Steelers have the edge with RB Rashard Mendenhall\u00a0in the backfield, and therefore get the win.<\/p>\n

St. Louis at New Orleans 4:05 PM FOX \u2013<\/strong> Don\u2019t count the Rams out in this one even though it looks like a blowout from all angles. The Saints defense has been known to give up a lot of points and rookie QB Sam Bradford has led his team to victories of very good passing teams, i.e., the Chargers. Mix in a dance or two into the end zone from RB Stephen Jackson and New Orleans might find themselves in a dogfight.<\/p>\n

Seattle at San Francisco 4:05 PM FOX \u2013<\/strong> An NFC West battle in the bay, that believe or not still holds playoff implications for two team, one of which us under .500. The Niner\u2019s have had better success within the division and I look for that trend to continue on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Miami at NY Jets 4:15 PM CBS \u2013<\/strong> A good test for the Jets defense as they face Miami\u2019s dreaded wildcat offense. The race for the AFC East will be tight and so will this result. This will come down to a field goal much like last year\u2019s 31-27 outcome. Except this one goes to NY at home.<\/p>\n

Denver at Arizona 4:15 PM CBS \u2013<\/strong>The Cardinals followed up their shellacking by the Niners with a loss to the Rams last weekend pushing their winless streak to seven. Denver is currently riding a three game winless streak and they will be a team without their head coach who was fired after last week\u2019s debacle. If Arizona can mix in a little Tim Hightower\u00a0against a deficient (31st<\/sup>) Broncos run defense, they could get a gift.<\/p>\n

Kansas City at San Diego 4:15 PM CBS \u2013<\/strong> The AFC leading Chiefs will have a chance to put some daylight between them and second place by using their No. 1 rushing attack on a very good San Diego rushing defense. The Bolt\u2019s egos will be bruised after their beat down by the Raiders, so it will interesting to see how they respond. Does defense really win championships? We\u2019ll find out.<\/p>\n

Philadelphia at Dallas 8:20 PM NBC \u2013<\/strong> This is the first of two meetings for these two divisional rivals. Has the Cowboys turned the corner winning three of its last four? At this point, they are only playing spoilers anyhow. The Eagles should be able to seal the deal staying in the chase for the NFC East, while returning the favor to a team that knocked them out of the postseason in 2009.<\/p>\n

MON, DEC 13 TIME (ET) <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Baltimore at Houston 8:30 PM \u2013<\/strong>The Ravens will need a big day from their defense especially from S Ed Reed and the rest of the secondary, as their day will be consumed with protecting against the deep threat of WR Andre Johnson and the short pass assault of TE Owen Daniels. Meanwhile, the Texans will need to round up their front four in an effort to stop Baltimore\u2019s Ray Rice. Ravens rebound and grab one at home.<\/p>\n
