Still, plenty of important divisional shifts happened.

NEED MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL SELECTIONS? OUR CAPPERS HAVE YOUR BACK —–>

NFL Betting: Week 13 Roundup

Eagles 34, Texans 24

Michael Vick the pocket passer strikes again. It was nice to see him hook-up with DeSean Jackson early in this victory but the Eagles’ deep threat is starting to make the wrong kind of waves in the dressing room. Will Jackson’s attitude hinder Philly in its drive for the Super Bowl?

Browns 13, Dolphins 10

We’ve heard chatter all year about Peyton Hillis and the Browns’ surprisingly competent offense but it was their “D” that stole the show on Sunday in a surprising road victory. Or maybe Chad Henne just made them look good? It seems more and more like Bill Parcells was right about him being a disappointment.

Packers 34, 49ers 16

The Packers have reached a high enough echelon that there are certain games you know they just won’t lose. One such example was yesterday’s home tilt against San Francisco. There was just no way Troy Smith was going to outduel Aaron Rodgers.

Chiefs 10, Broncos 6

It wasn’t pretty but maybe that isn’t a bad thing for Kansas City. The Matt Cassel-to-Dwayne-Bowe reservoir dried up but the Chiefs’ defense stepped up. They just have to hope Brandon Flowers isn’t out long-term after being carried off the field yesterday. He insists he just had cramps.

Vikings 38, Bills 14

Is it finally time for the Vikings to see what they have with Tarvaris Jackson? He flashed plenty of ability yesterday in relief of Brett Favre, even though he mixed several turnovers in with this touchdown passes. Whether or not Favre’s injury is serious, he has his out. Why don’t the Vikes just pretend Favre’s injury is bad enough to place him on the I.R. and send riding into the sunset before he tarnishes his legacy any further?

Bears 24, Lions 20

Drew Stanton almost did the Bears in. Drew Stanton!? Sheesh. I can’t remember a 9-3 team that seemed so…lucky. Can you? Then again, Chicago’s dismantling of the Eagles last week was legit.

Jaguars 17, Titans 6

It’s amazing how quickly the Titans have gone from an important part of the AFC South picture to completely irrelevant. It feels like everyone in the division gets a freebie against them down the stretch. It was Jacksonville’s turn this week. This Thursday, Indy gets the remedy for its cold spell.

Giants 31, Redskins 7

Donovan McNabb looks worse by the game. In this blowout loss, he stared down receivers all day, Derek Anderson-style. Is there any chance that the Redskins don’t use their opt-out when the season ends?

Saints 34, Bengals 30

It’s strange to say it, but the Super Bowl champs are under the radar. The Eagles, Falcons, Patriots, Jets and so on get all the press. But New Orleans is quietly 9-3 and has quietly won two straight games with impressive fourth-quarter marches led by Drew Brees.

Raiders 28, Chargers 13

Why is it that, despite the Chargers’ hot play of late, so many of us saw this one coming? Maybe it was the silly 13-point spread in San Diego’s favor? Phil Rivers just couldn’t get a throw off without an Oakland defender draped on him. The AFC West continues to be an interesting drama.

Falcons 28, Buccaneers 24

The Falcons win another one by the skin of their teeth. I can’t decide if all the close wins make them more battle-hardened for the playoffs or if they suggest that Atlanta is a bit lucky and due for a reality check.

Seahawks 31, Panthers 14

Can’t say I watched this game. Hope you didn’t. At least fantasy poolies got something out of it. Hooray for Marshawn Lynch (three touchdowns) and Jon Stewart, who looks entrenched as Carolina’s starting running back now.

Rams 19, Cardinals 6

Have we seen the last of Derek Anderson as a starting NFL quarterback? I think so. He was apparently concussed in Arizona’s loss. Between that injury and his debacle with the media during the week, he really needs a timeout. Forever.

Cowboys 38, Colts 35

Boy, was it odd watching Peyton Manning screw up. We can’t blame his receivers this time. He made bad throws all day. Four picks and two pick-sixes for two straight weeks? It’s the Twilight Zone. Kudos to Jason Garrett for finally doing what every football fan on the continent knew he should’ve done weeks ago; play Tashard Choice.

Steelers 13, Ravens 10

I had to double take when I saw the score at the end of this game. Watching it, Baltimore seemed to dominate the play. But the Steelers stayed in it and walked away with a win after a costly Joe Flacco fumble led to a Pittsburgh touchdown.

The NFL odds are up on which teams will win the NFL in the 2010/2011 season!
