It is hard to believe that these two teams have combined for more losses than wins on the season so far. The Indianapolis Colts host the rejuvenated Dallas Cowboys in hopes of gaining a little mojo back and putting a little distance between themselves and the other contenders in the AFC South. The Dallas Cowboys on the other hand are just playing for Texas-sized pride.<\/p>\n

The Dallas Cowboys are a different team under Jason Garrett, that is for sure. They are showing some heart for the first time this season and are battling until the very end of each game. Their Thanksgiving Day game nearly resulted in a third straight win but an all-too-familiar blunder cost them. It will be interesting to see if the Cowboys bounce back from more adversity.<\/p>\n

The offense has been decent. The passing game has remained in the Top 5 despite Tony Romo\u2019s injury (276 yards per game). The running game has gotten a little better under Garrett but there is still a long way to go. Marion Barber will sit Sunday\u2019s game out (thank God). Maybe someone can find him a helmet that fits! It will be up to Felix Jones and Tashard Choice to get \u2018er done for the 27th<\/sup> ranked running game. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Indianapolis is in a slump! I can\u2019t believe that I just said that! It\u2019s true though; they have lost three of their last four games and have lost as many games this season already as they did in the two prior seasons combined! The defense is brutal and the offense is out of sync.<\/p>\n

Peyton Manning is taking a lot of heat for his recent poor play but let\u2019s consider the facts. He has dealt with injuries in his receiving corp. and has not had the same group out there for two games in a row for what seems like an eternity. His timing is off and it is Manning who looks bad \u2013\u00a0not the pass catchers.<\/p>\n

Manning has a 30th<\/sup> ranked running game responsible for a whopping 82 yards rushing per game. The Colts offense is completely one dimensional and defenses are able to play on it. Indy\u2019s success is all up to Peyton. The result? Manning trying to do too much. Seven interceptions in his last two games and nine picks in his last four is further proof that Indianapolis is a team in decline.<\/p>\n

Then there\u2019s the defense \u2013\u00a0 they haven\u2019t stopped anybody. The Colts are giving up a 30th<\/sup> ranked 136 yards on the ground per game and a respectable 204.45 yards per game through the air. Clint Sessions should be back this week to bolster what has been a brutal defense.<\/p>\n

Betting Prediction:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Dallas Cowboys are in the role of spoilers at this point of the season and chances are that they are reveling in the potential to knock off the contenders that they face. The Cowboys suddenly look inspired and they look like they are having fun again (except for you Dez Bryant \u2013 you big baby!). However, the Indianapolis Colts need this game badly and should be ready to play. When is the last time that Peyton had three bad games in a row? My bet is that it doesn\u2019t happen this week!<\/p>\n
