Am i missing something here? Weren\u2019t the Kings supposed to be an exciting but bad team that scored a lot and gave up a lot of points? Instead, they\u2019ve been an anemic offensive group, ranking 28th<\/sup> in the league or worse in scoring, field goal percentage, three-point percentage and free-throw percentage. Their scoring \u201cD\u201d ranks a respectable 17th<\/sup>. <\/p>\n

Because the Kings can\u2019t score \u2013 no one other than Tyreke Evans averages even 14 points per contest \u2013 they\u2019ve been downright cruel to anyone betting on them this season. Sacramento is 2-10 against the spread over its last 12 games. The Kings have lost four straight and nine of 10 straight-up. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the Pacers have been very impressive lately. Their recent schedule has been vicious: Orlando, at Miami, Cleveland, Oklahoma City, at L.A. Lakers. Indiana won the road games at Miami and L.A. The Pacers have also beaten the spread in five of their last six games.<\/p>\n

Danny Granger has done his usual good job putting points on the board but the biggest difference for Indiana this season has been Roy Hibbert. The 7\u20192\u201d center has emerged as a premiere big man, averaging 16.1 points and 9.6 boards while blocking 32 shots in 15 games. He\u2019s a big reason why Indiana is eighth in scoring defense and second in opposing field-goal percentage.<\/p>\n

I know Sacramento is bound to snap out of it at some point but the research overwhelmingly favors Indiana tonight. Great defensive team on a hot streak against horrible offensive team on a cold streak. The road team is also 6-1-1 ATS over the last eight meetings between these two. And, as an 8-7 team, it\u2019s not like the Pacers\u2019 heads are too big yet. They won\u2019t look past Sacramento.<\/p>\n
