Philadelphia<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Michael Vick led Eagles are looking unstoppable of late.\u00a0 They came back to beat the Giants last week to take over first place in the division and sit only a game behind the conference leading Falcons.\u00a0 This week is a key contest against Chicago who is also in the thick of things in the NFC playoff race.\u00a0 It is never easy to win at Soldier Field on what is expected to be a cold and blustery day.<\/p>\n

With Vick at the controls Philadelphia has been tremendous this year.\u00a0 I know he has missed a few games but he has the Eagles rolling with the second ranked offense in the NFL, both in terms of yardage and points.\u00a0 He doesn\u2019t run as often as he used to but the threat is still there and he uses it to inflict damage on the secondary through a plethora of weapons.\u00a0 RB LeSean McCoy is also enjoying a great season.\u00a0 He may not tote the rock as much as other starting backs but he rips off 5 yards per carry.<\/p>\n

These teams have met in each of the last three season and the Eagles are only 1-2 SU and ATS.\u00a0 The lone win was last year 24-20 also at Chicago, a game in which Vick saw little action, completing just a single pass while running for 34 yards on just a single carry.\u00a0 As the starter he will definitely have more of a impact on the outcome of the game this year and he is why I think you can feel comfortable backing the Eagles this week. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Chicago<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Bears are one of the more surprising 7-3 teams in the league.\u00a0 Every week they seem to garner more criticism than praise but there they are tied atop the NFC North and in great position to make the playoffs, especially if they can win on Sunday.\u00a0 This team just seems to be able to find ways to win despite being offensively challenged for long stretches.<\/p>\n

Those challenges are the result of inconsistent play from QB Jay Cutler and little production from a ground attack featuring Matt Forte.\u00a0 A pleasant surprise has been the emergence of receiver Johnny Knox.\u00a0 From a motley receiver crew Knox has emerged as a real playmaker averaging more than 18 yards per catch.\u00a0 He has only found the end zone once this year but the second year player from Abilene Christian has become the Bears biggest non punt returning weapon.<\/p>\n

For the Bears to win on Sunday they are going to have to have a better than average offensive effort.\u00a0 They are scoring only 19 points per game but I think it is going to be hard for their league leading scoring defense to completely shutdown the Eagles.\u00a0 They have had some extra rest after playing last Thursday which will help but mostly it will come down to Cutler and the offense\u2019s ability to make some plays.<\/p>\n

The Pick:<\/strong> I like the Eagles to continue their winning ways, exposing Chicago as the mediocre team that the really are.<\/p>\n
