The Wildcats also have a solid core of young talent led by sophomore center Mouphtaou Yarou and sophomore guard Dominic Cheek that should keep them right near the top of the Big East once again this season. Pittsburgh Much of the talent that led Pittsburgh to a 25-9 record last season is back and ready to pick up where they left off. Junior guard Aston Gibbs is poised for a monster year and freshman forward Talib Zanna could be the force the Panthers were looking for under the boards. This team is loaded from top to bottom and could be one of head coach Jamie Dixon\u2019s best in years.<\/p>\n Syracuse Syracuse lost three of its key players from last year\u2019s team that went 30-5 and won the Big East. The pressure will be on senior forward Rick Jackson, junior guard Scoop Jardine, and sophomore guard Brandon Triche to pick up the slack for the Orange if they are going to have any chance to successfully defend their title. Freshman forward C.J. Fair will be a welcomed addition to Head Coach Jim Boeheim\u2019s patented zone defense.<\/p>\n Georgetown Georgetown returns two of its top scorers from last year\u2019s team that went 23-11; senior guard\u2019s Austin Freeman and Chris Wright. They will be joined by junior guard Jason Clark to form one of the more formidable back courts in the conference.
