{"id":29721,"date":"2010-11-20T09:37:18","date_gmt":"2010-11-20T17:37:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.capperspicks.com\/blog\/?p=29721"},"modified":"2010-11-20T10:15:44","modified_gmt":"2010-11-20T18:15:44","slug":"2010-ford-400-gambling-picks-201110","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/capperspicks.com\/blog\/nascar\/2010-ford-400-gambling-picks-201110\/","title":{"rendered":"Nascar Ford 400 Gambling Picks\/Preview"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2><strong>2010 Ford 400 Predictions \u2013 Betting Preview + Picks + Odds<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Preview:\u00a0 Ford is the title sponsor of Sunday&#8217;s race and Homestead-Miami has certainly been a Ford-friendly track in recent years.\u00a0 Six of the last eight Homestead races have been won by Ford drivers, including three straight by Greg Biffle (&#8217;04-&#8217;06) and one a piece by Carl Edwards, Matt Kenseth, and Kurt Busch when he was with Roush Racing.\u00a0 <!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Race<\/strong>: Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami Speedway<br \/>\n<strong>Date<\/strong>: Sunday, November 21, 2010<br \/>\n<strong>Time<\/strong>: 1:15 PM EST (scheduled Green Flag)<br \/>\n<strong>TV<\/strong>: 1:00 PM EST on ESPN<\/p>\n<p>Edwards, last week&#8217;s winner at Phoenix, has the highest starting spot for Sunday&#8217;s race at P2, while non-Chaser Kasey Kahne starts on the pole.\u00a0 Of the three remaining title contenders, Jimmie Johnson starts sixth, Kevin Harvick, 28th, and Denny Hamlin, 38th; Hamlin won this race last year from that same starting position.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Safe Bets:<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>1. Denny Hamlin (5\/1):<\/strong>\u00a0 As noted above, Hamlin won this race last year and is trying to win his first NASCAR Sprint Cup championship this year.\u00a0 Along with his &#8217;09 win, Hamlin has finished third at Homestead two times in five starts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2. Carl Edwards (7\/1):<\/strong>\u00a0 Edwards is the winningest driver at Homestead and will be racing with confidence following his win in Phoenix last week.\u00a0 He has the best average finish in Miami, including five straight top-10 runs here, and the highest starting spot among Chase drivers for Sunday&#8217;s race.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Dark Horse:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1.
