2010 NFL Football Power Ratings<\/h2>\n

Each week during the heart of the NFL season, and once or twice during the NFL Preseason, we\u2019ll gather the troops around the roundtable and hash out the\u00a0NFL Power rankings<\/strong><\/a>. We check out the stats, looks at the records, and, most importantly, we take a close, close look at the heart of each team.<\/p>\n

Yes, we know there is no dominant team in the league this year. And yes, it drives you nuts when you lay a few bucks on the Steelers at home and they lay an egg, or can\u2019t figure out what\u2019s going on with Drew Brees. But it just underscores that the NFL has something \u2013 unpredictability \u2013 that no other league has.<\/p>\n

  1. New England Patriots (8) <\/strong>\u2013 Villagers are frightened when they see a light on again in Dracula\u2019s castle.<\/li>\n

  2. Atlanta Falcons (5) \u2013<\/strong> Not too shabby: Two victories over good teams in five days.<\/strong><\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  3. New York Jets (6)<\/strong> \u2013 Eight road victories in a row.<\/strong><\/li>\n

    <\/p>\n

  4. Indianapolis Colts (7) \u2013<\/strong> Big topic of discussion at the John Deere plant is the Colts\u2019 shaky defense in road games.<\/strong><\/li>\n

  5. Philadelphia Eagles (9)<\/strong> \u2013 Kevin Kolb to Minnesota for second-round pick. You read it here first.<\/li>\n

  6. Green Bay Packers (3)<\/strong> \u2013 Media in Wisconsin (such as it is) pushing for Clay Matthews as MVP.<\/li>\n

  7. New York Giants (1)<\/strong> \u2013 Someday, after he is done coaching, Tom Coughlin\u2019s sideline demeanor when his team is tanking will make a great Coors Light commercial.<\/li>\n

  13. Oakland Raiders (14)<\/strong> \u2013 Al Davis basically has ordered Tom Cable to make Jason Campbell the starter for the rest of the season.<\/li>\n

  14. Tennessee Titans (11) \u2013 <\/strong>Randy Moss (1 catch on Sunday) is 1-4 in his last four games.<\/li>\n
