One team that has been on fire of late, the Anaheim Ducks, travel to Dallas to take on a team that has struggled since starting the season off with a bang. The Ducks won six straight games before losing on Sunday, in overtime to the defending Stanley Cup Champions while the Stars have won just three of their last nine games.<\/p>\n

Anaheim has finally started to score some goals, something that was sadly lacking at the start if the season. However, they are still only scoring 2.63 goals per game. Corey Perry has been on a tear lately but it is his supporting cast of Bobby Ryan, Ryan Getzlaf and Teemu Selanne that have failed to show up so far this season.<\/p>\n

The real problem with the Ducks is in the goaltending department. Jonas Hiller has been a disappointment so far this season registering an 8-5 record with a pedestrian 2.83 goals against average.<\/p>\n

The Dallas Stars have lost three straight games, all on the road, but they return home where they have been much better of late. The Stars have won their last three on home ice, outscoring their opponents 15-5 in the process. Goal scoring hasn\u2019t been a problem for the Stars \u2013 they are in the top third of the NHL with an average of 2.93 goals per game.<\/p>\n

Like the Ducks, the Stars have suffered from underwhelming goaltending. Kari Lehtonen is just 7-6 on the season with a 2.89 goals against average \u2013 a 4.04 goals against average in two starts against Anaheim this season. Andrew Raycroft, who is 1-1 this season with a 2.22 goals against average, will likely get the start.<\/p>\n

The Stars will be happy to be back on home ice and although they have struggled recently, I think that they snap their skid on Tuesday night. They are the better team overall and after Anaheim\u2019s six game win streak, they are due for a letdown.<\/p>\n
