How Can New England Bay Win?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Play the underdog role. All it takes is one bad week and once again, everyone is discrediting the Patriots. They\u2019re too old, they\u2019re too slow, Brady isn\u2019t the same, trading Moss was a mistake, Belichick can\u2019t coach\u2026you name it. It\u2019s all been said.<\/p>\n

But this is where they thrive. Time and time again, coach Belichick plays the underdog card better than any in the NFL and more often than not, it works.<\/p>\n

The Patriots may have a record of 6-2 but they could very well be a fraud. Since the Patriots traded away Randy Moss, Brady\u2019s completion percentage has dropped by 10% and Wes Welker isn\u2019t as much of a factor now that he faces double teams. The Pats don\u2019t run the ball very well so beyond Brady, what do they really have?<\/p>\n

The Steelers have a smashmouth defense, a quality running game, an elite quarterback, weapons at wide receiver and an excellent coach. Gone are the days where the Pats had the significant advantage on the sidelines.<\/p>\n

The Steelers don\u2019t need to do anything fancy in this one. As all of our mother\u2019s used to say, they just need to \u201cbe themselves\u201d\u00a0and they\u2019ll win.<\/p>\n

The Pats could very well be a fraud. Yes, they have some nice wins on the year but a home win against Baltimore was a close shave, San Diego handed them a slew of turnovers to help them win and so did the Vikings. When a team finally didn\u2019t make any mistakes \u2013\u00a0the Browns \u2013\u00a0they crushed New England 34-14.<\/p>\n

The offense isn\u2019t explosive anymore, the running game is inconsistent and the defense has holes. Beyond Brady, what do the Pats really have?<\/p>\n
