The No. 18 Arizona Wildcats dropped its last game to No. 6 Stanford, 42-17 on the road, and have just one loss at home, coming by way of a 29-27 defeat to visiting Oregon State back on October 9.<\/p>\n

They will now host the Trojans who are 3-1 away from Los Angeles and coming of a close 34-33 win over struggling Arizona State.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Cats defense, who had been allowing just 17.4 PPG, was ran through the Cardinal shredder that stacked up 510 offensive yards, leaving one to question whether or not all the hype surrounding the PAC-10\u2019s best defense is exactly that \u2013hype.<\/p>\n

Now facing a pair of the best offenses in the Pac 10, staring with this week\u2019s tilt against USC, and then Oregon next week, Arizona will soon find out if they have the right stuff.<\/p>\n

The upside is the Wildcats\u2019 offense that begins with mop-headed QB Nick Foles who leads an offense that averages 30.9 PPG thus far.\u00a0 The junior has completed 72 percent of his passes for 1,848 yards and 10 TDs. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

A lot of those have been pulled down by WR Juron Criner who has clearly been his favorite target with 58 catches for 884 yards and six TDs.\u00a0 However, Foles does like to spread the wealth, tossing to four others that have 200 or more yards receiving on the year.<\/p>\n

Keola Antolin and Nic Grigsby split the rushing duties with Antolin amassing 529 yards and seven TDs while Grigsby has 423 yards and eight TDs.<\/p>\n

Both could have a big day against a USC defense that has struggled to maintain consistency since the start of the season, especially in the latter half of games.<\/p>\n

Offensively it\u2019s a different story for the Trojans, who out of character narrowly escaped their bout with Arizona State, 34-33 last time out. The win did however pull them to 3-3 in the Pac 10 and a win at Arizona would tie them with the Wildcats in the division.<\/p>\n

The offense averages a 14th<\/sup> best 36.4 PPG, and QB Matt Barkley has had an impressive season throwing for 2,348 yards and 24 TDs. Receivers Robert Woods and Ronald Johnson have been his go-to-guys combining for nearly 1,200 yards and 14 TD receptions.<\/p>\n

Mix in a little Marc Tyler in the Trojans backfield and you\u2019ve got a deadly force for Arizona to contend with.\u00a0 Tyler could give the Wildcats all they can handle on his own, coming off his second 100-yard game of the season last week against ASU.\u00a0 He has run for a team high 626 yards and eight TDs.\u00a0 Allen Bradford has also factored in on the running game with 571 yards and four TDs.<\/p>\n

The Wildcats play Oregon next week, so a win this week could be the key to keeping their bowl hopes alive. You can expect both defenses to struggle to contain the opposing team\u2019s QB in this one. With Barkley being the better of the two, I think USC can win this game straight up to cover the spread.<\/p>\n
