Toledo<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Rockets have rebounded nicely and are enjoying a pretty good season.\u00a0 It wasn\u2019t pretty after an opening loss to Arizona but they are 5-0 in the MAC and their battle with the Huskies this week should determine the divisional champion and a spot in the championship game.\u00a0 With only two games left on the schedule the winner this week will be primed for that spot and hold the all important tie breaker. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Toledo\u2019s stats on the season are a bit misleading as two of their losses were so bad that the short seasonal averages don\u2019t do them much justice.\u00a0 In their three losses to Arizona, Wyoming and Boise State they gave up more than 100 points while scoring only 31.\u00a0 Those number make their averages of 25ppg both scored and allowed look like they should be a .500 team not one cruising through the MAC.\u00a0 All of their conference wins have been by at least a TD and they have a win against Purdue as well.<\/p>\n

Toledo won last year and has won three of the last four in the series going 3-1 ATS in the process.\u00a0 Toledo has dominated the series going back even further than that too going 8-2 SU and ATS which is a bit surprising because the two teams are usually among the tougher outs in the MAC and not among the weaklings.<\/p>\n

Northern Illinois<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Huskies were supposed to represent the league well this season with a stout offensive line and a strong running game.\u00a0 They did beat Minnesota but I think that games against Iowa State and Illinois were lost opportunities.\u00a0 Although, if they had won both of those they would be perfect right now and that might be a bit of a stretch for these guys.\u00a0 They are perfect in the MAC though and have the home advantage in this critical tilt.<\/p>\n

The Huskies want to wear you down.\u00a0 They have the 11th ranked rushing offense in the nation and lead running back Chad Spann already has 1000 yards and 12 TDs.\u00a0 This team can pass when it has to though.\u00a0 QB Chandler Harnish is efficient, completing 67% of his passes and is also the teams second leading rusher with almost 600 yards on the season.\u00a0 He is an underrated dual threat QB.<\/p>\n

Northern Illinois has been a good bet this year at 6-2-1 ATS.\u00a0 They have not lost at home all season and are fortunate to have this important contest on their home turf.\u00a0 Just like Toledo they finish with an easy couple of games so this is the one that can push them into the MAC championship game.<\/p>\n

The Pick:<\/strong> I like UNI to win but all those points worries me.\u00a0 I think this will be a tighter one score game.\u00a0 A great spot for a backdoor cover.<\/p>\n
