WAIVER WIRE WEEK 10<\/h2>\n

This is our waiver wire pick-ups column. Dave B scours the free agent pools in fantasy land for the best available talent every week. Availability, of course, depends on the league. We\u2019re using 12 team, 15 roster spot leagues as the median, but we\u2019ll look for roster candidates for leagues of all shapes and sizes.<\/p>\n

With Week 9 in the books and more teams on byes, it may be time to scour the Wire to find reasonable replacements for your Studs. There are some previous Studs returning from injury in the next few weeks \u2013 some players that were drafted in the Top 6 or 7 rounds of many pre-season Fantasy drafts. <\/p>\n

Take a look at a few names that could help your Fantasy squad going forward.<\/p>\n

QBs<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

David Gerrard \u2013\u00a0Jacksonville Jaguars \u2013 <\/strong> Could it be that Gerrard finally gets it? He is coming of his bye and in the game before; he tossed four touchdowns against Dallas. In Week 10, he faces a very soft Houston secondary. If you own Brees or Rivers and they are on their bye, Gerrard could be your guy.<\/p>\n

Colt McCoy \u2013\u00a0Cleveland Browns \u2013 <\/strong> McCoy probably won\u2019t win you most weeks but he\u2019ll likely provide OK numbers from here on out. Bottom line is that McCoy is a starter on a team that looks to be on the way up.<\/p>\n

Bruce Gradkowski \u2013\u00a0Oakland Raiders \u2013<\/strong> Coach Tom Cable has said all along that Gradkowski will be his starter when healthy. I\u2019m not sure about the truth to that statement with Jason Campbell winning three straight, but the situation is worth monitoring if nothing else.<\/p>\n

RBs<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Reggie Bush \u2013\u00a0New Orleans Saints \u2013 <\/strong> Bush should return after the bye week and if you think that Chris Ivory, Julius Jones or Laddell Betts will keep their jobs when he returns, think again. Grab him now while the Saints are on the bye and there is little fan fare \u2013 you will thank me later. \"Sports<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

Mike Goodsen \u2013\u00a0Carolina Panthers<\/strong> \u2013 The talent pool drops off significantly after Bush. With DeAngelo Williams banged up and Jonathan Stewart sustaining a concussion on Sunday, there is a serious lack of ball carriers for the Panthers. Goodsen, provided the others aren\u2019t healthy is in line for a bunch of touches.<\/p>\n

Donald Brown \u2013\u00a0Indianapolis Colts \u2013<\/strong> Interesting situation for the Colts. With Joseph Addai out, Brown had an effective day on the ground but it was unheralded Javarris James that picked up the goal line touches and ultimately two touchdowns on Sunday. Your guess is as good as mine as to who will be more productive!<\/p>\n

WRs<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Sidney Rice \u2013\u00a0Minnesota Vikings \u2013 <\/strong> Rice is due to return to action either this week or next. The Vikings still think that they can make the playoffs and will be playing hard for the rest of the season. Brett Favre passed for 446 yards last week \u2013 you can bet that Rice will make Favre even better!<\/p>\n

James Jones \u2013\u00a0Green Bay Packers \u2013<\/strong> He may have ripped the Cowboys apart because of the absence of Donald Driver but 8 catches for 123 yards and a touchdown on Sunday proves that he has the trust of Aaron Rodgers \u2013 that\u2019s good enough for me!<\/p>\n

Jacoby Ford \u2013\u00a0Oakland Raiders \u2013<\/strong> This guy came out of nowhere but based on his Week 9 performance (6 catches, 148 yards), I can\u2019t see any way that the Raiders can keep him off the field.<\/p>\n

Nate Burleson \u2013\u00a0Detroit Lions \u2013<\/strong> He was the most productive receiver that the Seahawks had last season and should thrive playing opposite Megatron. Injuries hampered him early this season but 133 yards and a touchdown on Sunday tells us that he\u2019s back and ready to contribute.<\/p>\n

Others to Monitor \u2013<\/strong> Seyi Ajirotutu \u2013 San Diego Chargers, Roscoe Parrish \u2013 Buffalo Bills, Blair White \u2013 Indianapolis Colts<\/p>\n

TEs<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Randy McMichael \u2013\u00a0San Diego Chargers \u2013 <\/strong> Who knows how long that Antonio Gates will be out? Maybe he returns after the bye. If he doesn\u2019t McMichael is a steal \u2013 2 touchdowns on Sunday is proof!<\/p>\n

Jimmy Graham \u2013\u00a0New Orleans Saints \u2013 <\/strong>Jeremy Shockey left Sunday\u2019s game with a rib injury which takes some time to heal. Graham instantly became a part of the Saints offense and should be decent as long as Shockey is sidelined.<\/p>\n

Defense<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

Arizona Cardinals \u2013 <\/strong>The Cards defense has been stellar all season long. Over the last five games, this unit has generated three sacks per game, over one interception and one fumble recovery per game. They have scored five defensive touchdowns in the last five games as well.<\/p>\n

Oakland Raiders \u2013<\/strong> The Raiders have been getting it done on offense and on defense in the last five weeks as well. Against Kansas City last week, the Raiders has three sacks, one interception and one fumble recovery while holding the decent Chiefs offense to under 250 total yards.<\/p>\n
