It\u2019s hard not to love the NFL. Every week, a game everyone thinks is totally predictable surprises the heck out of us. Like, say, the Browns dethroning the team with the NFL\u2019s best record entering Week 9. <\/p>\n

NFL Betting: Week 9 Roundup<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Browns 34, Patriots 14<\/strong><\/p>\n

This wasn\u2019t the Browns eking out a miracle win with a last-second field goal. This was a beatdown. It seemed the Patriots, like every Cleveland opponent this year, didn\u2019t see Peyton Hillis coming. The bulldozer pummelled the Pats for 184 rushing yards and two touchdowns.<\/p>\n

Chargers 29, Texans 23<\/strong><\/p>\n

After San Diego overcame more special teams woes for another win, I\u2019m surprised I haven\u2019t heard Philip Rivers\u2019 name mentioned in more MVP discussions. He\u2019s still on pace to break the single-season passing yardage record and made a no-name like Seyi Ajirotutu look like a star yesterday.<\/p>\n

Vikings 27, Cardinals 24 (OT)<\/strong><\/p>\n

This was a bitter pill for Packer fans to swallow on multiple levels. First off, their rival Vikings stayed in the NFC North hunt by rallying from a 14-point fourth-quarter deficit. Secondly, the man they now love to hate, Brett Favre, threw for 446 yards. Could dumping Randy Moss go down as the season\u2019s turning point for Minnesota?<\/p>\n

Saints 34, Panthers 3<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hopefully you didn\u2019t overthink this one and pick Carolina to cover. If the Saints\u2019 \u201cD\u201d could bottle up Ben Roethlisberger last week, it was a foregone conclusion that it would feast on Matt Moore. It did \u2013 to the point that he left the game with what might be a separated throwing shoulder. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Falcons 27, Buccaneers 21<\/strong><\/p>\n

Even though they lost, the Bucs still looked like they could be players in the NFC playoff picture. Aqib Talib channelled Darrelle Revis and kept the piping-hot Roddy White in check. But Tampa didn\u2019t have an answer for the battering ram known as Michael Turner.<\/p>\n

Bears 22, Bills 19<\/strong><\/p>\n

The poor Bills are still winless but don\u2019t really play like an 0-8 team. It seems they get their hearts broken with every game and Week 9 was no exception. Jay Cutler led the Bears, who are somehow 5-3, on a touchdown drive with just over six minutes to play.<\/p>\n

Ravens 26, Dolphins 10<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Ravens haven\u2019t ceased to look like Super Bowl contenders at any point this season and Joe Flacco continues to appear polished as ever in his third pro campaign. He has seven touchdown passes and no picks over his last three games.<\/p>\n

Jets 23, Lions 20 (OT)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Mark Sanchez continues to be the golden boy for Gang Green whereas his draft-year counterpart, Matt Stafford, can\u2019t catch a break. Stafford was humming along just fine against the Jets, throwing for 240 yards and two scores, when he went down with what may be another AC-joint injury to his shoulder. He may be out a while…again.<\/p>\n

Giants 41, Seahawks 7<\/strong><\/p>\n

Weren\u2019t the Seahawks supposed to be invincible at home? So much for that theory. Eli Manning was better than his brother on Sunday, tossing three touchdown passes in less than a full game. The Giants look as good as any team in the NFC right now.<\/p>\n

Eagles 26, Colts 24<\/strong><\/p>\n

Philly didn\u2019t cover the spread (three points at most books \u2013 ouch!) but scraped by Indy in an ugly, penalty-laden affair. Michael Vick was solid in his return from injury but I have to think he\u2019ll get hurt again unless he starts sliding on his scrambles.<\/p>\n

Raiders 23, Chiefs 20 (OT)<\/strong><\/p>\n

How about a round of applause for the Raiders\/Chiefs rivalry? It matters again! In this gritty, see-saw battle, Darren McFadden was impressive once more, averaging 5.2 yards per carry on his 89 yards.<\/p>\n

Packers 45, Cowboys 7<\/strong><\/p>\n

I can\u2019t imagine sitting through this game as a Cowboys fan. America\u2019s Team is in a dark, dark place right now. Surely Wade Phillips won\u2019t still be their coach next week, will he? Maybe he\u2019s already been fired by the time you read these words. Not playing Tashard Choice continues to baffle armchair coaches across the galaxy.<\/p>\n
