University of Nevada Las Vegas Runnin\u2019\u00a0 Rebels (1-7)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Any way you look at it, UNLV is just a bad, bad football team. The Runnin\u2019\u00a0Rebels are winless on the road; 113th<\/sup> in points allowed; 111th<\/sup> in points for; and 99th<\/sup> in total defense. [soliloquy id=”82219″]<\/p>\n

Statistically, their go-to players aren\u2019t as bad as you might think. Omar Clayton has thrown for just 1,069 yards and completes 55.7 per cent of his passes but he has six touchdown passes and four interceptions. That\u2019s four more TDS and four fewer picks than Jordan Jefferson, who starts on a 7-1 LSU team. I\u2019m just sayin\u2019.<\/p>\n

Tim Cornett \u201cleads\u201d\u00a0the team with just 263 rushing yards. These guys play behind all day so running the ball isn\u2019t a priority.<\/p>\n

Brigham Young Cougars (3-5)<\/strong><\/p>\n

With Max Hall leaving town, BYU was slated to go through a transitional season and things have gone just as expected this year. The Cougars aren\u2019t a horrible team but they can\u2019t hang with the top programs this year, having fallen to Florida State, TCU and so on.<\/p>\n

J.J. Di Luigi has been somewhat of a bright spot in the backfield. He has 601 rushing yards, averaging 5.4 yards per carry, and 318 receiving yards. Quarterbacking hasn\u2019t been so hot for BYU. Jake Heaps has only two touchdown passes and seven picks on the year.<\/p>\n

The pick: <\/strong>Luckily for BYU, UNLV is so bad that this game will funnel directly into the Cougars\u2019 strengths. They\u2019ll have an early lead and can hand off to Di Luigi instead of taking chances with Heaps. The Rebels will have to pass but will struggle against BYU\u2019s 21st<\/sup>-ranked pass defense. One easy blowout win for BYU, coming right up.<\/p>\n
