That number was allegedly offered to Mississippi State. However, it was a \u201cdiscount\u201d since Newton liked their coach. The actual going rate was $200,000. Auburn hasn\u2019t commented on the story besides saying that Newton remains eligible to play. Newton\u2019s family denies receiving any money or allowing anyone to \u201csell\u201d Cameron.<\/p>\n
Rutgers defensive lineman Eric LeGrand remains paralyzed from the neck down after being injured on October 16 against Army and has been hospitalized again with a high fever. He had been transferred to a rehab center in New Jersey for the next phase of his recovery but the fever landed him back in hospital for observation.<\/p>\n
