Week 9 Fantasy Start and Sit \u2013 Fantasy Matchups<\/strong><\/h2>\n

With the NFL Fantasy football season underway we encourage you to be checking out our\u00a0FANTASY FOOTBALL WEEKLY ARTICLES<\/strong><\/a> for all your rankings and analysis for the upcoming week. <\/p>\n

FANTASY GURUS – READY TO BET ON NFL WEEK 9? WE’VE GOT YOUR PICKS —–><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Week 9 is upon us and with more teams on byes, fantasy owners may be forced to start a player usually reserved for their bench. There are some juicy matchups in the NFL this week so pay attention and make the proper decisions.<\/p>\n

Below is a breakdown of every Week 9 game and the players that are Startworthy.<\/p>\n

Enjoy Dave B\u2019s Week 9 Start and Sit \u2013\u00a0Fantasy Matchups and by all means leave a comment to let me know what you think.<\/p>\n

Tampa Bay at Atlanta 1:00 PM <\/strong><\/p>\n

Atlanta\u2019s pass defense is horrendous so don\u2019t be afraid to start Mike Williams and Kellen Winslow this week. Josh Freeman could be an OK bye week fill-in but don\u2019t expect to start him every week. Atlanta hasn\u2019t allowed a RB more than 70 yards in nearly a month. Temper your expectations on LaGarrette Blount! For the Falcons, everyone starts. The Buccaneers defense has been very generous this year. Matt Ryan, Roddy White, Tony Gonzalez and Michael Turner are all strong starts this week.<\/p>\n

Chicago at Buffalo 1:00 PM <\/strong><\/p>\n

Hmmm \u2013\u00a0I have a feeling about Jay Cutler this week. I think he could be successful indoors in Toronto. Johnny Knox is a low end WR2\/ high end WR3 this week too. If you are stuck at Tight End, Greg Olsen is worth a look as well, along with the Chicago defense. For Buffalo Ryan Fitzpatrick has graduated to starter status along with Steve Johnson. That\u2019s about it in this game.<\/p>\n

New England at Cleveland 1:00 PM <\/strong><\/p>\n

The New England passing game is going to break out in this game. Start Tom Brady, Wes Welker and Aaron Hernandez with confidence and start BenJarvus Green-Ellis as a bye-week fill in. For Cleveland, Peyton Hillis is an every week play and Ben Watson could be a solid contributor this week. Not sure who is going to start at QB for the Browns \u2013 best to stay away from the passing game.<\/p>\n

NY Jets at Detroit 1:00 PM <\/strong><\/p>\n

This should be a good game for the Jets offense to get back on track. Detroit\u2019s 30th<\/sup> ranked run defense will be no match for LaDainian Tomlinson. Shonn Greene deserves some consideration as a flex as well. With the running game dominating, the passing game for the Jets could take a back seat. Dustin Keller is the only reliable option in the passing game. If you are struck, Mark Sanchez could be an OK bye-week fill in as could Santonio Holmes and Braylon Edwards. Always start the Jets defense! For Detroit, Calvin Johnson is the only sure fire starter this week. Matthew Stafford and Brandon Pettigrew should only be used as bye week replacements. The running game has been disappointing and against the Jets, they should remain on the bench.<\/p>\n

Arizona at Minnesota 1:00 PM <\/strong><\/p>\n

Ugh! Larry Fitzgerald deserves a start for sure this week and Steve Breaston, based on last week\u2019s performance deserves a look as well. Beanie Wells should get a lot of touches this week and warrants some consideration based on that (only as an emergency fill-in however). For Minnesota, prepare for the Adrian Peterson show. He is a Top 5 play this week. Percy Harvin (if healthy) should generate solid numbers as should Visanthe Shiancoe. The Minnesota defense is a legitimate play here as well.<\/p>\n

New Orleans at Carolina 1:00 PM<\/strong><\/p>\n

Never bench Drew Brees \u2013\u00a0period! Marques Colston is about the only definite start this week. Jeremy Shockey had a good game last time out against Carolina and could be used as well. The Saints running game is too unpredictable to rely on but if stuck, Chris Ivory could be decent. For Carolina, it is hard to recommend anybody but Steve Smith right now. The running game has been brutal this year and needs to prove itself before I can recommend starting them. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Miami at Baltimore 1:00 PM <\/strong><\/p>\n

I can\u2019t believe that I am saying this but STAY AWAY from the Miami running game until further notice. They have done nothing this year! That leaves this game up to Chad Henne to exploit the somewhat vulnerable Ravens secondary. Henne is a decent bye-week play. Brandon Marshall and Davone Bess should see their share of action and should be started in all leagues. For Baltimore, Ray Rice, Anquan Boldin and Joe Flacco are all good plays this week \u2013\u00a0Todd Heap could be a sneaky play as well.<\/p>\n

San Diego at Houston 1:00 PM <\/strong><\/p>\n

The San Diego Chargers WR corp. is more like a mash unit! The only healthy receiver is Patrick Crayton \u2013\u00a0start him along with the usual suspects, Philip Rivers and Antonio Gates. They will shred the Houston secondary! The Chargers running game has been underwhelming to say the least this season \u2013\u00a0I would look elsewhere if I could. For the Texans, Matt Schaub has yet to impress me this season \u2013\u00a0only start him if necessary. Arian Foster and Andre Johnson are as automatic as it gets in Fantasy Football.<\/p>\n

NY Giants at Seattle 4:05 PM <\/strong><\/p>\n

I love the way the Giants are playing right now and after watching what Oakland did to the Seahawks last week, I am starting everybody. Manning, Bradshaw, Nicks, Steve Smith and a rejuvenated Giants defense are all startable this week. Brandon Jacobs may even sneak in for a touchdown! For Seattle, it is hard to recommend anyone right now. Mike Williams will surely see his share of targets once again so he\u2019s an OK play. Seattle\u2019s defense has been money at home so if you are absolutely stuck, they may be OK for you.<\/p>\n

Kansas City at Oakland 4:15 PM <\/strong><\/p>\n

All of the running backs in this game are start-worthy. Jamaal Charles, Thomas Jones, Darren McFadden and Michael Bush are all in the Top 25 rankings for running backs this week and could all be started. Dwayne Bowe should find success as well with Nnamdi Amomugha possibly sitting out and Tony Moeaki is nearly an every-week start. The only other Raider that I would consider is Zach Miller.<\/p>\n

Indianapolis at Philadelphia 4:15 PM <\/strong><\/p>\n

Never, ever bench Peyton Manning! That said, Reggie Wayne has to be in your lineups as well. Pierre Garcon had a good game last week and warrants a start as does the Dallas Clark look-a-like, Jacob Tamme. For Philadelphia, it is difficult to bench Michael Vick even though it is his first game back from injury. He\u2019s just too dangerous! LeSean McCoy should enjoy a good game against the soft Indy run defense and Jeremy Maclin should be started \u2013\u00a0he was Vick\u2019s favorite target before the injury. DeSean Jackson should play this week but I would hold off for a week to see where he\u2019s at physically.<\/p>\n

Dallas at Green Bay 8:20 PM<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Cowboys can\u2019t run the ball so expect Jon Kitna to throw often in this game. He is a borderline start! Seriously! Miles Austin and Jason Whitten are automatic and Dez Bryant could be a factor as well. No shame in starting either of them. Stay away from the Dallas rushing attack! For the Packers, Aaron Rodgers is poised for a huge game, along with Greg Jennings. <\/strong>Donald Driver will likely miss Sunday\u2019s game making James Jones an intriguing start. Green Bay\u2019s defense is a good play as well against the dysfunctional Cowboys.<\/p>\n

Pittsburgh at Cincinnati 8:30 PM <\/strong><\/p>\n

There is no way that Cedric Benson will get anything going against Pittsburgh\u2019s #1 ranked run defense \u2013 Carson Palmer is going to have to throw. Pittsburgh has been vulnerable against the pass making Carson Palmer a decent desperation start. Terrell Owens and Ochocinco are also borderline starts \u2013 don\u2019t be embarrassed to roll with either. For Pittsburgh, every offensive star deserves a start. Roethlisberger, Mendenhall, Ward and Mike Wallace all deserve to be in your lineups. The Pittsburgh defense is a no-brainer as well.<\/p>\n

Byes:<\/strong> Denver, Tennessee, St. Louis, San Francisco, Washington, Jacksonville<\/p>\n
