Week 8 is over and some new players have emerged as potentially dangerous weapons for Week 9. <\/p>\n
Below is Dave B\u2019s week 9 Waiver Wire \u2013\u00a0I hope that some weapons can be found!<\/p>\n
QBs<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\nMatthew Stafford \u2013\u00a0Detroit Lions \u2013 <\/strong> Stafford may have been dropped. In case he has, now is time to pick him up. Stafford played his first game since Week 1 and showed absolutely no rust at all, passing for 212 yards and four touchdowns. He has the easiest schedule in the league remaining and could easily finish the year as an every week play.<\/p>\nJon Kitna \u2013\u00a0Dallas Cowboys \u2013 <\/strong> Kitna threw for 379 yards in his first start but tossed four interceptions (3 of which were not his fault). He has shown that he knows how to use the talented receivers and as long as the Cowboys keep falling behind, he\u2019ll keep throwing.<\/p>\nJosh Freeman \u2013\u00a0Tampa Bay Buccaneers \u2013 <\/strong> He is a consistent performer \u2013 nothing great but not too bad either. 200 yards and 1-2 touchdowns in guaranteed but Freeman has enormous upside.<\/p>\nOthers to Monitor:<\/strong> Derek Anderson \u2013 Arizona Cardinals, Troy Smith \u2013 San Francisco 49ers, Tavaris Jackson \u2013 Minnesota Vikings<\/p>\nRBs<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\nBenjarvus Green-Ellis \u2013\u00a0New England Patriots \u2013 <\/strong> I was a bit down on this guy, thinking that Danny Woodhead was about to pass him on the depth charts but I was wrong. He had 17 rushes, 112 yards and two touchdowns in Week 8. He is the red zone guy and the starter on a 6-1 team.<\/p>\nLaGarrette Blount \u2013 Tampa Bay Buccaneers \u2013 <\/strong>Blount also emerged in Week 8 and had two touchdowns with his 120 yards receiving. He is by far the most dangerous man out of the Buccaneers backfield and looks like the only real RB threat in an emerging offense.<\/p>\nKeland Williams \u2013\u00a0Washington Redskins \u2013 <\/strong> Ryan Torain left Sunday\u2019s game with a bad hamstring leaving the door wide open for Williams. We all know that Mike Shanahan likes his running back projects \u2013 Williams may be that guy. 9 touches, 53 combined yards and a touchdown on Sunday is proof.<\/p>\nWRs<\/span><\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n
