OUR CAPPERS HAVE YOUR BACK —–>

Chiefs 13, Bills 10

I have to say, seeing the Raiders/Chiefs rivalry come back to life with both teams playing well is pretty exciting. Jamaal Charles ran for 177 yards against Buffalo and seems primed for another huge second half. Maybe we all got a bit too excited too quickly about Ryan Fitzpatrick?

Rams 20, Panthers 10

How crazy is it that we all knew St. Louis would win this game? When was the last time the Rams were a lock? Sam Bradford gets it done week in, week out.

49ers 24, Broncos 16

Do we have our latest NFL quarterback controversy? Former Heisman Trophy winner Troy Smith steps in for Alex Smith and leads three fourth-quarter touchdown drives without turning over the ball. San Fran can’t ask for much more than that.

Lions 37, Redskins 25

Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson went off and then some in this game but the biggest story here was Mike Shanahan’s stupidity. It was poetic justice to see Rex Grossman fumble on his first play and have it returned for a touchdown after Shanahan inexplicably pulled Donovan McNabb with the game on the line in the fourth quarter.

Packers 9, Jets 0

Huge win for the Packers, who looked like a sinking ship two weeks ago and are now firmly entrenched atop the NFC North again. The exciting thing for Packers fans is that Aaron Rodgers hasn’t really gone off for that huge game yet this year.

Dolphins 22, Bengals 14

Looks like the Dolphins are, well, kind of good. They still haven’t lost on the road this season. Dan Carpenter had five field goals for the second straight week, becoming the ninth kicker since 1950 to kick 10 field goals over a two-game span.

Jaguars 35, Cowboys 17

As much as Tony Romo’s injury hurts, as much as the Cowboys’ running game has struggled, shouldn’t the defense be getting more blame? Dallas’ “D” doesn’t have nearly as many excuses as the offense yet got torched for four touchdown passes by David Garrard. It’s one thing for Eli Manning to do it to them, but….David Garrard?

Chargers 33, Titans 25

Finally, San Diego gets a win. But the poor Chargers’ special teams tried to blow it for them again. They had a punt blocked that led to a safety less than two minutes into the game. Luckily for San Diego, Phil Rivers did his thing again. After another 300-yard game, Rivers’ 2,649 passing yards are the most ever for an NFL quarterback eight games into a season.

Buccaneers 38, Cardinals 35

Who knew this would be the wildest game on Sunday? Josh Freeman got some help this time, as the Bucs’ defense and LaGarrett Blount combined for four touchdowns. I want to say the Bucs will still flop but, then again, they have Carolina, San Francisco, Washington, Detroit and Seattle still ahead on their schedule. Could they make the playoffs?

Patriots 28, Vikings 18

Could this season be any worse of a train wreck for Minnesota? Sidney Rice gone all year. Percy Harvin hurt yesterday. Brett Favre playing through a broken ankle and gets cut for 10 stitches after a huge hit. Randy Moss openly stating that he loves and misses his New England teammates. If only Minnesota had a reset button.

Raiders 33, Seahawks 3

Is there a mentally weaker team than Seattle in the entire league? The Seahawks are world beaters at home but absolutely crumble whenever they leave the nest. And how about the Raiders becoming relevant in the AFC West? Darren McFadden is a legit MVP candidate.

Saints 20, Steelers 10

Huge statement game for New Orleans. Beating arguably the top Super Bowl contender proves that they’re not ready to bow out of the playoff hunt just yet. Kudos to Gregg Williams for figuring out how to fluster Ben Roethlisberger and force mistakes.

The NFL odds are up on which teams will win the NFL in the 2010/2011 season!
