Usually, the Commodores are a have-not in the SEC picture, and this season is no different. With the exception of their win against Ole Miss, Vandy hasn\u2019t looked impressive all season (a 52-6 drubbing vs. Eastern Michigan doesn\u2019t count; EMU is absolutely pathetic) in fact it has dropped the past two games by a combined score of 64-7.<\/p>\n

Arkansas\u2019 offense operates too smoothly for Vandy to have an answer. If playing in the very hostile confines of Razorback Stadium weren\u2019t enough, QB Ryan Mallett is back healthy and shredding defenses while speedsters like WR\/return man Joe Adams often tear off big plays. \"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Arkansas<\/strong><\/p>\n

Scoring has been the Razorbacks\u2019 long suit in 2010 and that will continue to be the case this weekend.<\/p>\n

In terms of production, Arkansas has the second-best passing attack in the nation (over 352 ypg). Star pivot Mallett distributes the ball to anyone and everyone in a scarlet jersey. Such effective passing means that RB Knile Davis can rip off over seven yards per carry on the ground, and the defense can pin its ears back and pursue the quarterback.<\/p>\n

Arkansas has some tricky opponents left on its schedule, but Vanderbilt isn\u2019t one of them. The Razorbacks should be able to build a lead early and then terrorize Commodores QB Larry Smith into mistakes. Arkansas head coach Bobby Petrino isn\u2019t the most popular guy in NFL circles (did anyone see what Cincinnati Bengals DC Mike Zimmer said about him?) but it won\u2019t stop the \u2018Pig Sooey\u2019 chants from reverberating long and loud in Fayetteville this Saturday night.<\/p>\n

The Pick: <\/strong>Arkansas picks up a win at home, in a game that\u2019s not very close and not very cinematic \u2013 unless you\u2019re an NFL scout watching Mallett whistle the ball downfield.<\/p>\n
