Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs<\/strong><\/p>\n

Author Thomas Wolfe wrote the book \u201cYou can\u2019t go home again.\u201d But the Chiefs have perhaps the next-best thing, as the reunification of Romeo Crennell and Charlie Weis seems to have energized Kansas City after a decade-long hibernation. Weis, Crennell and Bill Belichick were the backbones of the Patriots Dynasty of the early 2000s, and now KC is fiting on all cylinders at 5-2 atop the bizarre AFC West. \"Sports<\/a><\/p>\n

Fresh off their dismantling of the Jaguars, the Chiefs take on the Bills at home, and while the only people confirmed to have watched all of Buffalo\u2019s game this season are incarcerated, no one is quite sure what to make of the NFL\u2019s only winless (0-6) team after it almost beat preseason Super Bowl favorite Baltimore last Sunday. Buffalo\u2019s 37-34 loss gave what remains of the Bills fan base some hope that maybe the Bills can begin the long climb back to credibility.<\/p>\n

Ryan Fitzpatrick\u2019s career day (29\/43, 374 yards) may not be duplicated any time soon, but it probably bought him the rest of the season as the starting quarterback and just might convince a skeptical management type that he\u2019s the long-term answer at the position. Fitz did throw two picks, but when you have a buffalo on your helmet, that stuff happens.<\/p>\n

Picks: Chiefs -7.5 and Under<\/strong><\/p>\n

After wild rides for both teams, defensive units tighten the screws in practice this week and things return to normal, which means a hard look at the Under. Around halftime of the game the Bills will realize just how difficult it is to bring down Jamaal Charles, who has been so good (6.0 yards per carry) that he is stealing touches that had figured to go to Thomas Jones. Is there a better running back tandem in the league?<\/p>\n
