Louisiana Tech at least has something going for it: offense.<\/p>\n<p>The Bulldogs have shown they can roll up some points and yards; they average 397 total yards per game and have the nation\u2019s 51<sup>st<\/sup>-ranked offense. They also have a quarterback who can air it out when he wants to. Ross Jenkins has six touchdown passes and just two picks this season. He also dropped 422 passing yards on Idaho last week.<\/p>\n<p>The problem for Louisiana Tech and the reason why it\u2019s only 3-4 is that it can\u2019t keep opponents off the board. The Bulldogs\u2019 \u201cD\u201d ranks 113<sup>th<\/sup> in the nation, allowing just under 450 yards per game. That really doesn\u2019t bode well against Boise State, which boasts the country\u2019s No. 4 offense.<\/p>\n<p><strong>(2) Boise State Broncos (6-0)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s BCS title or bust for Boise State this season; well, at least the Broncos see it that way.   <iframe allowtransparency='true' src='http:\/\/ff.connextra.com\/Bodog\/selector\/client?client=Bodog&#038;placement=Ext_RS_Sports_250x250&#038;cxt_aff_id=151627&#038;tclk=http:\/\/www.bodog.eu\/welcome\/151627\/' class=\"alignleft\" style=\"margin: 1px; border: 3px solid #FFFFFF;\" width='250' height='250' scrolling='no' frameborder='0' style='border-width:0'><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>So far, so good. Boise State\u2019s list of accolades this season is pretty darned impressive. The No. 2 Broncos have won 20 straight games. Kellen Moore is on fire as always, having thrown for 16 scores in six games this season. In conference play, the Broncos have outscored their opponents 107-0. They\u2019re riding a vicious 48-0 win over San Jose State in which they totalled 535 yards of offense.<\/p>\n<p>What makes the Broncos especially dangerous is that they back up the \u201cO\u201d with powerhouse \u201cD.\u201d Their defense is tops in the country, allowing 210.2 yards per game, and its 12.3 points allowed per game is second best.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The pick:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s pretty much a given that Boise State wins this one. The battle for bettors is against the spread rather than Louisiana Tech. Can Boise State cover 37.5 points? I say yes. It has eight straight wins over Louisiana Tech and, in their last four meetings at Boise State, the Broncos\u2019 average victory margin is 36 points.
