At the Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospital Open, Jonathan Byrd found himself on a fourth straight playoff hole with Martin Laird and Cameron Percy.<\/p>\n With one swing \u2013 a six-iron on the 204-yard 17th<\/sup> hole \u2013 the tournament ended. Byrd drained a \u201cwalk-off\u201d hole in one to win it. The only way anyone tops that finish is if someone does it in a major someday.<\/p>\n NFL news: Favre admits to leaving voicemails; DeAngelo Hall, Oakland Raiders have record-setting days<\/strong><\/p>\n It wasn\u2019t exactly a week to remember for Brett Favre. FOX\u2019s Jay Glazer reported yesterday that Brett Favre admitted to leaving Jenn Sterger voice messages in 2008 when he was the New York Jets\u2019 quarterback. Details weren\u2019t released. He denied sending Sterger lewd photos, however.<\/p>\n Worse yet for No. 4, his head coach, Brad Childress, threw him under the bus after this three-interception performance in a loss to Green Bay last night. \u201cIt still goes back to taking care of the football,\u201d Childress said. \u201cYou can\u2019t throw it to them. You\u2019ve gotta play within the confines of our system. Sometimes it\u2019s OK to punt the football. You can\u2019t give seven points going the other way, not in a game like this.\u201d<\/p>\n DeAngelo Hall was having a horrific season for Washington \u2013 until Jay Cutler came along. Hall picked off four Cutler passes in the Redskins\u2019 17-14 victory over the Bears yesterday, tying a single-game NFL record. <\/p>\n The Oakland Raiders had a special game of their own yesterday. The 59 points they dropped on Denver were a franchise record and the second-most points ever scored by an NFL team in the first three quarters of a game.<\/p>\n MLB news: Phillie players believe Jayson Werth will leave this offseason<\/strong><\/p>\n Despite tying the National League record for career postseason home runs, it appears Jayson Werth will be jobless in Philadelphia and seeking a new team this offseason.<\/p>\n The slugging outfielder has a chance for a massive contract and will likely test the free-agent waters according to his soon-to-be-ex teammates in Philadelphia. The Phillies are also eager to give top prospect Domonic Brown a starting outfield gig next year so Werth\u2019s departure is a virtual certainty.<\/p>\n NBA news: Iverson signs with Turkish team; Blazers trade Bayless to Hornets; Stackhouse signs with Heat<\/strong><\/p>\n Allen Iverson will play basketball this year, but not in the NBA. The 35-year-old former MVP signed a two-year, $4-million deal with Besiktas of the Turkish professional league and is expected to report to the team within the next week.<\/p>\n Former first-round pick Jerryd Bayless is a New Orleans Hornet. The Portland Trail Blazers traded the guard, who averaged 8.5 points per game last year, to New Orleans for a first-round pick in 2011.<\/p>\n Two-time NBA All-Star Jerry Stackhouse has joined the circus in Miami. The 35-year-old signed with the Heat on Saturday.
