NFL news: Dallas Clark out for season; Smith, Jackson and Cribbs ; Magic Johnson wants team back in L.A. <\/strong><\/p>\n Already missing Joseph Addai and Austin Collie at least in the short term, the Colts\u2019 offense took another major blow today. It turns out Dallas\u2019 Clark\u2019s mysterious wrist injury is serious enough to require surgery. He was placed on injured reserve and will miss the rest of the season.<\/p>\n On the bright side, Pro-Bowl wideout Vincent Jackson has officially ended his holdout with the San Diego Chargers. He\u2019ll report to the team next week and will be eligible to play on November 28. Another star receiver, Carolina\u2019s Steve Smith, looks ready to return from his sprained ankle. He returned to practice on Wednesday and is probable for the Panthers\u2019 game against San Francisco this Sunday.<\/p>\n After James Harrison concussed him last week, Josh Cribbs is back at practice and looks like he\u2019ll play this Sunday against New Orleans. His fellow concussed teammate, Mohamed Massaquoi, isn\u2019t so lucky. He hasn\u2019t practiced yet and likely won\u2019t play in Week 7.<\/p>\n The latest NFL-back-to-Los-Angeles rumor comes from none other than Magic Johnson. Last week, he sold his share of the L.A. Lakers and his 105 Starbucks stores for $100 million. With his pocket nine figures deeper, could he make a run at bringing the NFL back to La-La Land? Johnson told the\u00a0Los Angeles Times <\/em>this week that he hasn\u2019t discussed anything with the NFL but \u201creally, really wants the NFL to come back to L.A.\u201d <\/p>\n If it\u2019s relocation instead of expansion, it\u2019s hilariously easy to guess which team is most likely to move to L.A.: Jacksonville. Jacksonville.<\/p>\n MLB news: Jayson Werth hits historical homer; Jose Bautista has surgery <\/strong><\/p>\n While the stat is partially a reflection of the Wildcard era and teams playing more playoff games, Jayson Werth\u2019s historical feat is still pretty impressive. His homer last night in Game 5 of the NLCS was the 13th<\/sup> of his postseason career, tying him with Albert Pujols, Chipper Jones and Jim Edmonds for the most in National League history.<\/p>\n Suspicious about Jose Bautista\u2019s 54-homer season? Maybe we owe him a bit more respect. Turns out he played with a spots hernia since May.
