Sounds crazy but he suggested as much himself. Clearly still miffed by the $75,000 fine the NFL slapped on him for his two dangerous hits, he claimed that he may as well retire if the league forces him to change his style of play.<\/p>\n Mike Tomlin excused Harrison from Steelers practice yesterday to cool off and he returned to the team today. Looks like the retirement idea was just an empty threat. Harrison\u2019s teammates also said he enjoys playing too much to pass up the second season of a $51.2-million deal.<\/p>\n Who is football\u2019s most overrated player? According to NFL players, it\u2019s Terrell Owens.\u00a0Sports Illustrated <\/em>polled 269 players and released the results yesterday. Terrell Owens took the honor, earning 14 per cent of the votes. The next names on the list were Tony Romo (seven per cent), Mark Sanchez (five per cent), Albert Haynesworth (five per cent) and Eli Manning (four per cent).<\/p>\n It\u2019s a bit of a groin kick for Owens during a season in which he\u2019s averaging more than 95 receiving yards per game, no?<\/p>\n The always-secretive Colts leaked some major injury news out of nowhere yesterday when they revealed that tight end Dallas Clark has a potentially serious hand and\/or wrist injury. The details are still foggy but it\u2019s possible that he\u2019ll need surgery and could miss the rest of the season. <\/p>\n MLB news: Nelson Cruz injures hamstring in Game 5 of ALCS<\/strong><\/p>\n Oft-injured Nelson Cruz is at it again. The talented Texas Rangers right fielder left Game 5 of the American League Championship Series with tightness in his left hamstring. He already missed 51 games during the regular season due to hamstring complications.<\/p>\n Cruz thinks he\u2019ll be ready to return in Game 6. The Rangers sure hope so; Cruz is batting .371 with four homers, four doubles and six RBI in the playoffs.<\/p>\n NHL news: Rick Rypien suspended indefinitely for fan attack<\/strong><\/p>\n We touched on this story yesterday but we have an update on Rick Rypien\u2019s status. The Vancouver Canucks forward has been suspended indefinitely by the NHL for grabbing a spectator, James Engquist. The 28-year-old Engquist says he yelled \u201cWay to be a professional!\u201d after Rypien received a game misconduct and the comment set him off.<\/p>\n The exact length of Rypien\u2019s suspension will be determined at a hearing. The NHL has suspended five players and dished out four fines in the last 10 days.<\/p>\n NBA news: Mike Miller suffers thumb injury; \u201cNo legs\u201d to latest Carmelo Anthony trade rumor<\/strong><\/p>\n The stacked Miami Heat can\u2019t seem to get healthy as the regular season rapidly approaches. Mike Miller is the latest casualty. He injured his thumb during practice yesterday. He\u2019ll meet with a hand specialist today; early whispers are that his thumb is broken. He could miss several weeks and perhaps more than that.<\/p>\n Quick Carmelo Anthony update: a league source recently said that any rumor regarding the Knicks and Nuggets making headway on a trade is unfounded.
